This thread must live on forever! After JP hires our new coach this thread must then focus on who the new coaches replacement will be. #coachpocalypse2015
 
Vance Downs.....the guy coached a great Ames High team a few years back and he loves the area.

I said it on this forum earlier this week, but if the job goes to TJ, I'd be fine with that. However, he needs to get his version of Lutz/Sadler on staff
 
I am coming down to wanting Altman and if not him, then Otzelberger.

The team has handled this whole situation pretty well. We have some great leadership amongst our players. And the unifying person on the coaching staff that is left is Coach Otzelberger. His leadership through this whole situation has been great. IMO, that leadership during this time has to be considered in evaluating his readiness to be the Head Coach .

Coach Otzelberger is being given a Baptism by Fire in this whole deal. And he is passing with flying colors.

im so tired of hearing how he has learned how to have a winning culture and is a good recruiter. Wayne Morgan also fit that description.

Maybe TJ will be fine, but quit pushing the winning culture and recruiting angle

FT's, it's all about FT's. Recruiting is meaningless if we can't average 80% from the line as a team every season.
