Love DST when it’s in effect. I like having the daylight in the evening vs the morning. Needs to be permanent year round.Ugh .. I hate it.
I just find it annoying. Leave it where it is now.Love DST when it’s in effect. I like having the daylight in the evening vs the morning. Needs to be permanent year round.
There’s nothing like leaving work at 430 in July and thinking, hey I’ve still got time for 18 holes.I like playing golf until 830 in June and July so let’s do that
I will never understand why changing clocks twice a year is hard. Sleep in, go to bed slightly earlier tonight, or take a nap tomorrow.
You go outside to pee?We have three dogs. (Long story how we ended up with there dogs.)
One dog is a "clock watcher". Tells us when its time to get up. Time to eat. Time to go to work. Time to go to bed.
Another dog is a herder. He herds us to our home offices. Herds us outside to go pee. Herds us to bed.
My life appears to be managed by our dogs.

That is correct. The con is sunrise isn’t until like 8am that time of year.I always for some reason get confused by the maths but if it just stayed like this the whole time, does that mean it's still light out by 5-5:30 in December instead of 4-4:30?
Then what time is sunrise at that time?

Nearly 8:20 for Cedar Rapids, anyway. That’s a dark morning. That is correct. The con is sunrise isn’t until like 8am that time of year.

My thought too. So it’s dark when you drive to work, no big deal but there’s more daylight even you get off and weather pending can still go on an early evening walk. And oh well, really, since it's usually cloudy and dark anyway.
Wasn't there a proposal a couple years back at the federal or state level, I don't recall which, to end the changing of the clocks but make standard time the only time year-round? Now that would be a terrible idea. Imagine 4:30 a.m. summer sunrises.
