I find this hard to believe. The prime time to be searching for a coach has passed...it is from the day they announce the field of 65 until the end of the Final Four.

In our situation, any time is a prime time for a coaching search.

Just another blip on the radar for me... Like i mentioned in another thread, it's gotten to the point where you just laugh about our misfortune now. I'm with alarsen, praying for a veishea miracle...

Wow, this is sad. If this is true, and if Dendy does not come back, my prediction from March 7th will come true. That is messed up!

Gilstrap...who knows? I have doubts the NCAA would grant him another year. He did say that if they did, he would return, but he has a family to think about too, so he may have just been saying that so as not to start any kind of controversy.

I still see the possibility of more player defections. I could see up to 4 leaving....Colvin, Dendy, Buckley and Hamilton.

There does not appear to be any outstanding recruits coming in, plus GMac is going the JC route again......which is always iffy at best.

I would say an even worse record than this year. Might win about the same number in conference, thanks to Nebraska and Colorado still being in the leauge, but I think there will be a worse record in the non-conference. I don't see next year's team jelling very quickly at all. I will predict an overall record of 12-19 in regular season.

that's scary... and yet... not really going out on that big of a limb :eek:
 
Does anybody else remember what happened with DePaul this last season? The previous season ('08-'09), they had gone winless in the Big East besides winning a conference tournament game and head coach Jerry Wainwright was forced into firing his entire coaching staff (including his own son, I beleive). Then they started off this season poorly (DePaul beating UNI might be a bigger upset than UNI beating Kansas) and he was fired at either the start of the conference season or very early into it.

At this point, I'd be surprised if McD was fired before the start of next season, but if the Colvin rumor is true and we lose anybody else or fail to get any recruits, I wouldn't be surprised if McD is gone by January '11.

Impressive predicition...any idea on the winning Powerball numbers for tonight?!?!

I'm just glad we hired GM to bring stability back to the program and to ensure we are doing things the right way.

Yep, but good call regardless. I can't believe it's gotten to that point where you can make up the most outlandish rumors and they become true.

For April Fools I told a buddy Morgan was going coach Iowa, all the assistants would be gone, and Colvin would transfer. I thought I was messing with the guy, but within a week....
