CGC..

Why didn't they fix it before last year then?

You can't just fix injuries. The fact that you believe you can says a lot. You can convince yourself of anything.

Our strength coach left our team and we hired his protege? Are we convincing ourselves that Oyster is going to be far better or that McKnight was forced out? How are we spinning that as a positive?

You literally just don't get it. Spin it as a positive? How is it a negative?

I mean in the history of people no assistant has ever been better than his boss when given the job.

Do you understand that Oyster may be ten times better than Mckight? You have zero clue either way but since you always go to the negative you think someone needs to spin it positive.

Boy, I'm glad I wasn't relegated to just being as good as my bosses when I took a similar role. Too funny...keep the negative train rolling......logic be damned.

I heard that philbert and dagel have been splitting snaps at right tackle. That is a good thing imo. Not sure what anyone else has heard?

I think Philbert will end up being the full-time starter once the season starts. It seems Dagel has lost some mobility and explosiveness due to his injuries. He would be a solid guy to bring in as a rotational tackle though.

I think this was brought up somewhere else, but has Omoile been tried at Center at some point since he's been here? I know that position requires intelligence, tenacity, and quickness, which not sure if Oni possesses those or not. I guess I haven't been wowed by Lalk at that spot. The reason I ask is I think Campos, Taiese, Omoile, Burton, Philbert could be a much better run-blocking line that can actually create some push, closer to what we had with the Osemele/Hicks group.

Rhoads has said its because they want to keep Dagel fresh and injury free. Philbert isn't beating him out.

Can't be 6-6 = needlessly pessimistic. The schedule isn't that rough and we're bound to catch breaks at some point. The porridge is to cold.
Will be 6-6 = needlessly sunshine pumping. We schedule isn't that easy and we are still a team with a lot of question marks that has won five games in the last two years. The porridge is to hot.
Could be 6-6 = The porridge is just right.

Any roster/starter updates?

Not likely to hear much, if anything, until camp is over. When does Iowa State start school? Monday, August 24th?

They'll have a new depth chart published the Monday of game week.
