Free Buba! And also Bubs while we're at it.Let's get a few facts here.
1. Bubs was not found to be innocent of the charges. The charges were dropped; that only means that the prosecutor did not feel they had enough evidence to obtain a guilt verdict. Not saying he is guilty or innocent of the act, simply that the charges were dropped.
2. We do not know if the charges were dropped due to the false information provided by the victim, or for other reasons.
3. When the charges were dropped, and following a review and decision by the Office of Judicial Affairs, Buba was re-instated on the team and played since January, 2013
4. The decision by OJA was appealed by person or persons unknown and the decision was reversed. We do not know why the decision was reversed.
5. The standard for code of conduct violations are less than for court proceedings.
6. At ISU, student athletes are generally held to a higher standard of conduct than student non-athletes. There have been numerous examples of that in the past few years - football, basketball and wrestling.
6. Fred has used Buba judiciously in the past; he rarely started, but he earned significant minutes off the bench.
For brevity, I have left out a few other facts. But of the 11 pages that make up this thread, the majority of postings are full of supposition, outright guessing, or simply ignoring the facts.
Bubu has appealed. It is highly unlikely that the BOR will overturn Leath's decision. This is a distraction that a team seeking to come together as a single unit that can perform to the maximum of its talent did not need.

You dilute your message about "facts" when you can't even get his name right three out of four tries...
Hey, let him appeal. Sounds like you are choked up that he appealed against the ISU Prez. This is everyone for themselves and if Bubu wins the appeal, so be it. Whether he wins or not does not change that night whatever happened. Yet it can look better of he wins on Linked In.Let's get a few facts here.

Does that change the fact, that what he posted, is absolutely the correct opinion on the issue?
Key word.
I don't know why anyone cares if he appeals or not but I see pretty much nothing but opinions. If somebody knows the facts he isn't posting on here.
I'm just shocked that we allowed Bubu to play 1v5 against Kentucky in the NCAA tournament. What was Fred thinking?

It doesn't change whether or not he is correct, it simply tends to make people give his comments less credibility. Bubu's name would seem to be the easiest fact for any of us to get correct. It was an observation. Nothing more, nothing less.

Sorry. I am a terrible typist and a worse proof reader. Don't think it changes the facts in the case, but you are right in calling me on the terrible typos!
No facts about what happened that night...Those were facts he posted that has created his opinion....
Or do you not understand that?

I don't care if he appeals or not or is reinstated or not. Why? Because I don't know what happened. If I did I would have a strong opinion one way or the other.
