Would love a Baylor win this weekend.
For the sake of argument let's say it happens and we get two into the BCS - we'll say OSU and KSU (no upsets). Even if ISU beats K-State, as long as OU beats Okie State I think the Big 12 could still get two in.
Next up is the Cotton, and they would want a 9-3 OU team for sure. (Or 9-3 KSU in the alternate situation, or maybe 9-3 Baylor, but it doesn't really matter - they will all go ahead of us.)
Then the Alamo, and a 9-3 Baylor (or KSU) as well as 7-5 Texas who didn't go bowling last season are both options.
The Insight is next, and you have to imagine they would take whoever the Alamo didn't out of Texas and Baylor (and KSU).
So here we are at the Holiday Bowl. Regardless of what happens ahead of this bowl, only three options for them will be left out of the Big 12: 7-5 Misery, 6-6 aTm, and 6-6/7-5 Iowa State. One of those things is not like the others (Hint: Actually staying in the conference).
Have to think that the Meineke Bowl would be lobbying for A&M, anyway (they have the next pick). And when it comes down to Mizzou and ISU, didn't we already hop them when they were 8-4 and we were 6-6? And when they WEREN'T leaving the conference?
If Big 12 lands two in the BCS - which is very possible - ISU should be going to San Diego for the Holiday Bowl.
