Fran's 12 man rotation finally wore Purdue out, and they had to sit their starters with 7 mins left in the game because they were so dead tired. At least Fran could try to spin it that way to convince Barta to keep him on board.

Fran's not a lesbian, so there's no way Barta fires him.

I have to admit, I am a fan of the way Baer wins loose balls. Even yesterday when they were down 20 in the blink of an eye the kid makes plays...it's just that after he gets the ball it's still the rest of his team and Baer that has to score it.

If Cook was playing his hardest yesterday his next level plans are really in trouble. He had more turnovers than points and rebounds combined at the end of the first half. If he's not playing his hardest than Fran's future is really doomed because that disinterest will spread from your best player. I'd love to see a practice these last few weeks to see the attitudes.

Wisconsin is pretty awful. Iowa will probably struggle to score, but Wisconsin will struggle to get much separation from them. My guess is that Iowa has enough runs that they end up winning by 6 to 8. They had better win at least 2 of the next 3, because then they go into a stretch that passes as tough (for the Big 10).

ISU 22-8 (12-6) tied for 3rd in Big 12. Non-con losses: A) One at Maui Jim Maui, (B) B12/SEC if it's a road game or wild-card loss to quality team not yet scheduled.

Iowa: 18-13 (10-10) ... weak early, moderate upswing, level-off down the stretch. Fringe bubble, NIT home game. (Reminder: BIg Ten going to 20-game schedule).

If Fran somehow ends up not coming back next year or the one after, it's going to be ugly. His kids will transfer out, but I have a feeling they're going to go scorched Earth. And the Hawkeye faithful will not hesitate for a second before they start eating their own. It's going to be damned funny to watch. #Rightway
