***Big 10 Thread***

Here's the thing that should scare the crap out of hawk fans. They may think they have tons of talent, but they're not even in the same hemisphere as the rest of the Big 10 right now. They're getting housed by 20-30 EVERY GAME. Even the one they pulled off against Illinois, they were down 20.

Yeah, I don't see a lot of talent on Iowa. Cook has talent, but they waste him. Garza has potential because of his size, and he seems to play hard. Moss is ok. Not sure why they don't try him at point. Bohannon is a legit shooter, but that's about it. Rest of the team belongs in the Missouri Valley.

Jo Bo comment about the Hoks being the final four this year was hilarious. I think he met the final four to play the first day in the big 10 conference tournament.

Actually, hoks should feel encouraged about holding this loss in the 20s. Some progress I think. Uhl working his way back into lineup. I think they have a close game or two in them yet this season. Can't even rule out a win against Wisky. I, for one, trust Fran's process and I hope Barta will as well.

Unless he made another comment he was referencing his senior year.

Yep, Fran won the second half with some masterful halftime adjustments. This talk of firing Fran needs to stop.

Agreed, except for the Penn St loss and the Illinois win they haven't even been competitive.

That's 6 out of 8 games they've been taken to the woodshed, that indicates a bad lack of talent compared to the other Big 10 schools.

I think the Pencl (sp) kid could be good on a different team. Other than those few I agree with the MVC comment. Too many slow, lanky forwards that don't handle the ball or shoot particularly well.

That's even worse.

Not at all. With the new transfer rules being proposed, he might have a chance to make it to the final four with some team. He could be a decent role player for a team that has a final four shot. By role player, I mean that guy on the end of the bench that has to play when you're in a foul fest with West Virginia.

I've been listening to SP and Fran's postgame pressers, and it's pretty interesting to compare them. While SP provides clear, detailed answers to questions asked, Fran cuts off the person asking the question and is vague is his responses. It appears that he is attempting to with hold his strategic secrets so opponents are unable to put a satisfactory game plan together, or in fact, he does not have an answer to the question so tap dances through the entire interview. I hope he stays at Iowa long term.

I was gone all day and see that a new thread has been started.

When this gets closed eventually the next one HAS to be titled, "Is Fran building a regional powerhouse?".

Hok mock threads are serious business.

I think he's building a regional outhouse.
