Babb to Celtics

I definitely could see him getting another 10 day. Then the big decision has to be made. At least he is getting some PT.

Nice. He will get to play in Dallas, which will have to be special for Babb and his family.

Wish we would have taken his brother and let the numbers shake out.

If he can find someone who will value how good he is defensively he can stick. Big, strong, fast...probably the best defender I have seen in college for a long time. If we had him this year we would be almost unbeatable.

Babb's minutes declining as of late. Hasn't scored in 2 games. A few turnovers though. Hope this doesn't hurt his chances

@ Cydar Thanks for link to the interview on Chris.
Great interview and so awesome that he gave Coach Fred credit for his defensive development.
(Is it me or does Babb sound like Harrison Barnes a little) Anyway really excited for Babb and it sounds like Coach Stevens really likes him. Great shooter and defensive specialist assigned to the other teams gunners. Perfect fit for the Celtics.

Babb was just waived by the Celtics

The Celtics traded for four players tonight, and had to waive a couple of non-guaranteed contracts for the trade to go through. Hopefully Babb can find another roster to hook on with before training camp.

Damn that sucks for him, especially with all the work I'm sure he out into the offseason in Boston. I hope he lands on his feet somewhere in the NBA.

Nothing against Hoiberg but I really hope he can start putting some guys in the NBA soon. Obviously without Hoiberg Babb and DG wouldn't have even got a sniff but I just hope we can start getting represented a little bit

It's all about the young talent. So as soon as ISU makes a mark in the recruiting trail they'll make a mark in the NBA. The recruiting trail is starting to look real pretty too.

Agreed. There's only a certain amount higher a 5th year senior can grow in the nba. The talent just isn't there. Just about all NBA players are very well rounded. Just can't tell because you need to be really good at something for it to show. While there are exceptions there are hardly any players that were average in high school(in terms of recruiting rankings) that make it big in the NBA.
