How many if you dogging on MT for drinking and driving have texted while driving? I'd bet my mortgage at least half of you, half. And texting is now considered 4-5x more dangerous than driving under the influence by the government....studies are clear. Your eyes are off the road. WTS, I'm not condoning what MT did just telling some to put things into perspective with what I know they've done and prob still do
How any state could not have a law against texting and driving at this point is crazy.
OWI is one thing, but drinking in general..... My guess would be that a very high percentage (Maybe 80%?) of college athletes under 21 at every university in the country drink alcohol. A much smaller percentage actually get behind the wheel though.

He is no longer Matty Ice. He is now Bud Ice!
That doesn't seem so hard. Now, I'll wait for the link to the experts that said Niang's injury was a result of him being overweight.
It depends a lot on what he blew, but it's hard for me to criticize the kid when I'm a 30 year old who eats Chipotle while going 70 down the interstate.
The problem is how to enforce it. The only way to make the law effective is to ban all use of electronic devices while driving. Many states now ban texting but allow using the phone for calls, internet, etc. Hard to enforce just texting.
Bunch of self righteous folk out this morning, apparently. Everybody else must still be hungover in bed! If you didn't drink in college, good for you. Don't put these athletes on a pedestal of perfection. They are college kids! They eat, ****, sleep, and drink like most college kids do. They also happen to give most of their time to ISU basketball, mostly for our enjoyment. Matt seems like a good kid; give him a damn break. Get off your internet high horse and go mow your lawn before it rains.

You making **** decisions doesn't make the **** decisions of others any less ******.
I don't think that was his point. He is just offering what I believe is a realistic, empathetic perspective on the situation. If you have not sinned, cast the first stone and change Naz's face in your username pic to your own.
****** decisions are in a 19 year old's DNA and ****** decisions are in everyone's DNA when they are drunk. Considering the heavy fines and penalties that come with a DUI, I am sure Matt will feel the pain of this for years to come.
ya I'm not going to feel for a guy who endangers other people because he can't call a cab or walk. Sorry.I don't think that was his point.
