Wasn't there something with BB guns or something a few years back?
on the fence rumored to be in the dog house.

Lol, 2 different stories I think 1 was a couple of players hunting either squirrels or rabbits on campus. The other was out around University village acting like a idiot (pointing at cars or something like that)

I always thought the hunting one was pretty funny

Sadly its probably going to take McFadden doing something like this before he actually faces serious consequences. And unfortunately the pattern for someone like McFadden is that it will likely get there.

Agreed. I mean he’s also shown he’ll push his girlfriend down the stairs, drag her around by the hair. It’s going to be a sad day when it escalates to something worse.

Super off topic, but Steele Jantz used to hunt rabbits in the forest and eat them. He was an odd duck.

Scates, I believe, was the only one who lasted longer than a year at ISU.

Hunting on campus sounds like an 80s/90s era ISU football thing.

1. If this is true and he is convicted in court, they should lock him up and throw away the key.
2. What happened to due process with everybody else's comments on here? Should we just eliminate the criminal justice system and lock everybody up for being accused of doing anything wrong? I think they should pass a law that prohibits media from publishing stories like this until someone is convicted or exonerated.

What a stupid take. He admitted to committing domestic violence.

The presumption of innocence until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt is a court construct for criminal proceedings, and does not exist for civil cases or public opinion. People can weigh the available evidence and comment on it as they please. As for 'locking up the accused', people are generally held before trial based on what evidence exists someone is an immediate danger

They should be prohibited from publishing public information on public court proceedings? Absurd.

There is a difference between charged and convicted.

Soneone reporting that he was charged is not jumping ahead.

He was arrested. That isn’t up for debate.

arrested does not mean convicted..

Meaningless when it comes to discussions like this.

People, whether they be the public at large, employers, coaches, etc are free to make their own judgments based on the evidence available. They aren't beholden to the high bar that courts have to meet to secure a conviction.

That being said, we have, at minimum, a guy who already admitted to domestic violence. I for one think it pretty reasonable to take the word of the victim of the DV that she was raped as well unless there is evidence to the contrary.

And the fact is, prosecutors often don't like taking on cases they don't think they'll win. Its very hard to get domestic abuse\sexual abuse cases prosecuted. So when they are charged, there's an pretty high likelihood of a conviction as well.

As much as I'd like to take matters into my own hand, I have a feeling what he'll experience from big mike in prison will be worse than what I can offer.
He’ll wind up in Newton, where most of the medium security inmates are also sex offenders

And the university can conduct their own investigation with less stringent rules of evidence than a criminal trial. Since he admitted to the shoving (which caused serious injury) there is no doubt he should be off the team.
