No way this man stays free. he will do prison time without a doubt. We need not worry about his dismissal from the team. I wonder why it took so long to file the charges?

This guy was born with physical gifts most can only dream of. Even if he never played a down he could have gotten his free education, collected his stipends, and moved onto a career with zero school debt. Threw it all away and now he’s going to spend a lot of years in prison. Then you consider the damage he did to her life. Just terrible all around.

I think Story County has a pretty good history of prosecuting cases like this. Johnson County on the other hand, not so much. If this happens in Iowa City the kid walks or worst case gets 30 days in jail after being allowed to torment the victim for several months.
In Johnson county you get the state’s highest paid employee meeting with the victim, offering to handle it outside the legal system. He also then orders someone to immediately move back into the crime scene, because who isn’t going to just leave a one-room crime scene full of, let’s call it evidence, undisturbed?

KF would have tried to cover it up first before getting the police involved... he's done it before.

Are you also overlooking the fact that Aidan admitted to committing DV? He should be off the team asap.

Not at all. He should be removed from the team. He should be removed from Iowa State University. He should be charged with the crime, allowed to defend himself in a court of law, and if (when most likely) he's found guilty he should be imprisoned for whatever amount of time the judge sentences him to. I believe that's the rules for the team and university, and it's the law and due process he's entitled to as a US citizen.

Based on what I've read, I hope the sentence he receives is long and uncomfortable and I hope he gets caught making prison toilet wine and loses library or yard access, or whatever it is in prison now.

1. If this is true and he is convicted in court, they should lock him up and throw away the key.
2. What happened to due process with everybody else's comments on here? Should we just eliminate the criminal justice system and lock everybody up for being accused of doing anything wrong? I think they should pass a law that prohibits media from publishing stories like this until someone is convicted or exonerated.

There’s always that “just asking questions” guy.

Also hi Aiden.

Relying on an account from a media source is laughable at best. The media has lost all credibility IMO.
By his supposed admission of guilt, he must have been out of control. From the description there must be a preponderance of evidence.
I served on a jury and I was amazed how the newspaper report didn't seem like it was the same trial I sat in on. We had an unbelievably diverse jury.
If he's guilty, let him suffer the consequences.
I am surprised someone on here hasn't looked at official reports

This is certainly a lot of words to say you can't read.

What does the official report say?

Man if only "the media" didn't try to hide it from gold by saying things like "per the complaint", "allegedly", and "the police said." It's so hard to get out of the spin zone of that article that summarizes facts and gives no opinion. Media failing us again.

Super off topic, but Steele Jantz used to hunt rabbits in the forest and eat them. He was an odd duck.
What's wrong with hunting and eating rabbits?

There are issues with the press. Sensationalism, click bait, etc.

I also respect the idea of not jumping to conclusions. Maybe he pushed her, causing a spinal injury, but everything else is a lie. But reporting the charges isn't a media credibility issue.

It’s World Press Freedom Day! I guess a free press can’t refer to filed court complaint?
