First time seeing this kid pitch but his stuff looks pretty sick.

At what point does this kind of pitching just quickly destroy arms? Training and such has gotten so much better, and for the longest time people said 100mph was the top anyone would throw, but now we've got all these guys throwing 102 and Duran throwing a 105mph pitch the other day.

Medical improvements aside, the wear on the ligaments has to be insane.

Agree. That said, 100+ mph and the movement he puts on it makes that damn near unhittable.

I was at a bar casually watching a few games that I could see from my seat, there was a guy pitching for the rangers who had a leg kick that was basically up to his chin and then somehow brought it down and across from maybe a 3/4 sidearm. As a former catcher it looked like a ******* nightmare to catch. Couldn't tell if he was closing or middle relief guy couldn't see the score/inning from my angle. I saw him strike out at least 4 guys, granted it was the tigers.

Grant Anderson

It was his major league debut. Even if it was against the Tigers, he had a pretty good outing. And that leg kick is pretty insane.

You can see his kick in the video here (after the ad):

Yanks keep violating one of Boxster's prime rules for competing, the stay off the IL rule.

Combo of bad luck and fragile as glass players will again keep them at a lesser level than the two or three teams making a real run at the pennant and World Series. And dumb signings such as signing two pieces of broken glass starting pitchers that likely won't even pitch at all this year.

How many are on the IL for you? Brewers have 15 now I think, which leads MLB, with Darin Ruf and Tyrone Taylor going on the IL. Ruf just got transferred to the 60 day, cut his knee open running into the tarp in Cincinnati, but turns out he actually broke it and the cut exposed tendons.

Only 10. Two guys out with Tommy John so really 8 out. Six of the eight were what I'd consider "starters" on the field or in the bullpen. Allen is only a journeyman and Weber is a dime-a-dozen reliever so I can't say them being out is a big deal except they had Allen to play because Bader was out and now both are out so no center fielder unless they play Judge or an infielder there.

Crew is at 12 per what I can see. The list used to be easy to find on MLB now you have to surf around for other sources. It's weird they just don't have a table for each team.

My friends in NY tell me it looks and smells like 9/11 outside. No bueno.

I tossed the game on in the 7th last night and it looked bad on the field. Was wondering if it was fog or what, than read earlier today how bad the smoke was. Peeps were weighing in that the game last night should haven't have been played.

Saw this earlier:

This wildfire really is something. There may be cancellations in the northeast for days.

Just saw this. Wow. Not like he's having a bad year, but no homers at home is pretty odd.

Full disclosure: As a Yankee fan it makes me chuckle some after his "My House!" rant last year after hitting a walk-of HR.
