tough thing about the TCU forfeit it has led to having 3 straight road games.
Pretty much midway mark. Who had these for Audi Crooks averages on their prediction sheets?

I know I didn't - I was firmly in the camp of those who believed her transition to Division 1 WBB was going to take some time - I'm just hoping I didn't say anything too embarrassing which can be resurrected from the dark web!
I'm not going to cite anybody's screen name, but there was a frequent contributor who claimed his daughter had "shut down" Audi Crooks in a HS game by simply "fronting her". To watch the way she "pins" experienced college players makes me chuckle every time I see the guy post.
Beyond her success on the basketball court, the young lady is such a breath of fresh air. During yesterday's game, WVU is playing "hack a Shaq" and she's helping scowling fallen WVU players off the floor and talking to them between free throw attempts with a smile! What a revelation - I'm glad she's the new face of the ISU WBB program!
Wasn't meaning that to call anyone out because nobody thought she'd be this good this fast. Well maybe Audi herself. I would have considered 10 pts and 4-5 reb a really good freshman stat line at post. Guards can jump right in and be impactful starters, posts are usually slower, even the very top ranked post recruits. Think the ESPN Top 15 freshman listing a month ago was all guards or small forwards except for Crooks.
Right there with you. I thought she'd bed ok at about 10-12 ppg and half a dozen boards. I also thought Natabou would have a bigger impact that would somewhat limit Crooks. I was thinking yesterday that Crooks, so far, should be first team all conference.
She'll be in running for FOY but Brooks will probably get it. In any other year she'd probably grab that FOY.
Here's their conference only stats:
- Madison Brooker, Texas: 20.6 pts 6.8 reb 5.6 ast (only bad is 4.9 TO). #2 in scoring, #1 in assists and #8 in rebounds. I think she is also the league leader in TO but her other stats and impact override that.
- Audi Crooks, Iowa State: 19.3 pts 9.4 reb (just short of a double-double avg).
Crooks is #3 in scoring and #2 in rebounds.
Will be interesting. In my opinion, the Texas player has the easier pathway to higher statistics. Those turnovers might sway some opinions as well.

Those two are break out, but I love all five freshmen. I still think JB has the highest ceiling if/when she gets rolling. AJ is a dagger when you need one and KJ is outstanding on defense and rebounding.

I agree with this! It’s crazy that these 5 freshmen are a complete team all on their own.
Now that we've seen them all play for half a season, I don't know about Jalynn having the highest ceiling of the group, but she has the tools to be the perfect complimentary role player.
Coming in, I thought maybe she had the highest ceiling (still could of course, the ladies are young).
However, Addy's style of play is so smart & has way better athleticism than she's given credit for, and Audi is already borderline undefefendable.
When I watch JB play it makes me think she could be a style of player like prime Shawn Marion. Decent 3 point shooting, effeciency everywhere else on offense, excellent rebounding, and an absolute force on defense.
