Tough day for EIU hoops hopes

Look at their women's program.

They'll come in droves if the next coach starts building a winner.

If I was the Iowa AD and had infinite Big Ten TV money...

-- call Fran in, tell him it's over, he can retire gracefully and be honored or fired... up to him
-- calling DeVries and offering him whatever he wants
???
-- respectable basketball program!

(Or so I'd hope.)
Shut the hell up, what's wrong with you.

The status quo is just fine.

Gotta love Sandfort. After he jumps all over Freshman Freeman for fouling at the end of the shot clock, he promptly turns the ball over twice against the press and gets caught flat-footed at the most important moment of the game and olés Jahmir Young on his winning layup. Then he air-balls the winning shot by 10'.
He is next in line of whiny little ******* that grew up in Iowa and thinks Iowa is an elite basketball program. He’ll fade away into obscurity just like the rest of them and be selling insurance in no time.

if Shaheen Holloway parlays his Saint Peters & Seton Hall success into a job like Villanova i wonder if Fran would parachute his way to Newark?
iirc Holloway played basketball at Seton Hall. I’d assume he wants to stay there for an extended period.

The headline is literally the article, learned nothing about why or how the tourney would structure 15 teams.
9 teams bet a bye, 4 of which get a double bye.

is it possible that the ADs are in favor the bottom 3 teams in league play not even making the field?

it saves some travel expense and sometimes you just want the season to be over. Steve Prohm didnt need to make his last trip to KC.

And that league is pretty much guaranteed to have 3 or more trash teams every season. its not like the big 12 which has some bottom dwellers that can surprise you. look at WVU beating Kansas. there is no way that Purdue is getting beat by the worst team in the big 10.

I may have misspoke. Ohio St is the only one of the four that got any consideration for the tourney--I guess they all could be bubble

Why not just do 16 and have a normal tournament
