That makes a lot more sense. If Todd had been covering some of the games throughout the season, but couldn't make it to the first round, I could see granting him access.

Trying to get media access to a tournament game, when you haven't requested at all during the season seems un-reasonable.

Recall he said the 'outlet' had to cover somewhere around 90% of home games during the season. It may not be Todd directly, but still has to be someone at Todd's place of business. So, 'some' of the games IMO does not appear to be 90%. Just my two cents of interpretation.

Iowa media members can absolutely **** right off. And if I were ISU members I wouldn’t care what they think. Iowa media members are simply fan boys for the athletic department.

Chris Hassle is the only one who speaks the truth at times. He said what every Iowa fan, including their media members are feeling, and that’s jealously that our head coach in year one accomplished something their head coach has failed miserably at for his entire tenure.

I've come around on Hassel. He got annoying when he went to ESPN but honestly he's a fun twitter follow and bigs up ISU semi-frequently.

By his own admission, he talked with the Iowa SID to ask if he could skip covering Iowa in Buffalo the 1st weekend and if they would approve his credentials for the second weekend. They said yes. Iowa got beat and now he's expecting Iowa State to honor the agreement he had with Iowa.

So Bohzo didn't know the new rule when talking to the Iowa SID, but when it's ISU he does?

By requesting Iowa credentials it was pretty clear they never had any intentions of covering Iowa State.

I am with the poster who asked "would Todd request credentials if Iowa State was playing at any other site besides Chicago???" I am guessing the answer would be a huge no! Todd wants to go to the Sweet 16 and not pay to get in...he can drive to Chicago...covering Iowa State has nothing to do with his request...it is just an avenue for him to go to the Sweet 16.

LOL That was one of my posts. 100% they were expecting to go to Chicago and cover Iowa but that didn't work out so well. Why didn't they send anyone to Milwaukee? It's because they didn't want to pony up the money to fly someone out to Buffalo and they know eastern IA would have lost their collective minds if they sent someone to cover Iowa State. Sorry Todd, you sided with the wrong team this year Bub.
