ISU @ Colorado Postgame

Just getting home from work today. While at work I was able to catch most of the game. I don't know what this entire thread has been but judging from the first two pages I can tell it's not good. I'm just as upset as all of you tonight wondering why we can't get a stop on def. and that we didn't attack the middle of the last play, but I am darn proud of the effort this group put in today. I think there is more positive than negative. I have season tickets and I'll admit I have been very cynical of this team during the last couple of home games, but I will be there Sat. and I will try my best to lose every vocal cord I have cheering this team and our seniors. Go State Beat the Tigers!!!!!!!!!!

I just watched the replay of that last play. To me it looked like AA pitched it too soon and that the WR wasn't really blocking. If those two things were fixed, I think ARob would have made it in.

I think we get about 30k fans only if it is above 45 degrees. If it is cold, we only have 25k.

Just relax everyone. No sane fan expected ISU to win this year. The program appears to be headed in the right direction, and I for one am excited about the future of ISU football for the first time in years.

Do you see too many SANE fans on this site? Excellent post. I understand the frustration with the results and I think the coordinators need some help but to say we get rid of the head coach after less than two years is inane. Plus who do we get that is going to turn it around any quicker?

The last play was about who wanted it more and I guess we saw who did.

The option should have left Ames with Walden, instead every OC that has been in Ames since has tried to run it some. Sure it works from time to time. It works just well enough the OC thinks it will always work and run it 2 time more than he should have. It works right up till you really need it to, then when you need it to work for a big 1st down or TD it fails big time.

Does ISU lead the nation in giving up 3rd and 4th down convs? They have to lead the nation in giving up 4th down TDs. They may lead it in giving up 3rd down TDs.

Up the middle would have been fine... or even play action out of a running formation... that could have worked too.

Ditka might end up in jail for murder. I don't think he could handle trying to coach a team with as little talent as we have and end up killing someone. We need more quality players, we need our quality players to have more playing time and we need our fan base behind us.

If we would have run up the middle, which we havent had much success on for years, everyone would be clamoring as to why we would do a sneak when our O Line is pour. The best call some times doesnt work.

54 on Friday and 43 on Saturday according to the Weather Channel. I wish the game was in the afternoon and not at night; it could be pretty nice at 43 in the sunshine but it's likely to be cold and windy by the second half.

I'm tired of it.

I'll smear the ISU coaches week in and week out if this crap continues. Against A&M we play zone defense, we could have gotten burned every play had OSU not been so nice to the cyclones, and then today two touchdowns UNCONTESTED, not to mention a freakin shotgun option on the goal line. I'm sorry, but that is pathetic. I have never seen such a horrific play call for the final play of the game. I'm done blaming the players. I feel like they are playing their assignments. It's time ISU's "defensive coach" steps up calls some defensive plays instead of pacing back and forth on the sideline talkin on his headset. Say what you'ld like, two years isnt enough for you to judge this team, Cyclone fans havent even gotten to watch GC's recruits mature. I dont care, no one can mature, improve , get better with this kind of play call. And I'm spent.
