NFL: ***Official Week Eight Thread***

Being an ISU and Bears fan makes you drink. Success running the ball in the I? Hey, lets go back to a shot-gun formation

So what now? It's clear now that Nagy doesn't trust Trubisky. So does he go back to Daniel despite the very low ceiling he offers?

How about this? Andy Dalton for a conditional pick. Dalton is nothing special but in the past he's shown that he's generally as good as the team around him. Chicago has a pretty decent roster. At the very least you could bank on him to hand the ball off and manage a game without limiting the playbook or killing the team with dumbass mistakes.

Problem is, Chicago doesn't have a lot of draft capital at the moment. They could see if they can trade someone like Taylor Gabriel or Danny Trevathan to see if you can get someone, but it might not matter with 4 losses already.

We've arrived at the halfway point of the season. Your playoff teams if the season ended today:

1. Pats
2. COLTS!
3. Ravens
4. Chiefs
5. Bills
6. Texans

1. 49ers
2. Saints
3. Packers
4. Cowboys
5. Seahawks
6. Vikes

Those are some dangerous wild card teams, other than Buffalo. I still think the Bills might be frauds but we'll see. The Cowboys are a shaky four seed. So much can change from the midway point to the end of the regular season. Last year at the halfway point the Panthers and Redskins were both 5-2, and then their QBs got hurt and the bottom fell out.

Jets looking to trade LeVeon Bell today. What a terrible signing by the Jets and a terrible decision to go to the Jets by Bell.

Wonder if anyone will actually make a move from him.

I just wonder how much will actually go down before the deadline. There are a number of big names being floated around - Trent Williams, OJ Howard, Jamal Adams, Reshad Jones - but all of those teams might be asking for too much. OJ Howard to the Pats makes a ton of sense but the last I heard the Pats are tight up against the cap and probably can't swing it. If the Broncos aren't planning on re-signing Chris Harris then he ought to be on the move to a playoff contender.
The Bengals should be sellers but the latest reports are that they want to wait until after the bye when everyone is healthy so they can evaluate their roster. Spoiler alert, fellas: it's old and in need of a teardown. Put your vets out of their misery and send them to a contender.

Steelers have basically no running backs right now, has he ever thought about playing there?

The asking prices of some "available" players are way too high.

It is weird how some teams ultra-tank (Dolphins), some semi-tank (Jets, Broncos) and others suck but don't embrace the tank (Redskins, Bengals).

Just thought about it and whipped this photoshop up real quick.

Yeah, I get that some coaches and general managers are under pressure to win and it makes it tough to embrace reality. But if a team has been really bad through eight weeks it's pretty unlikely they're going to suddenly figure things out. Load up on picks and play out the string with the younger guys on your roster.

If the KC Defense can't stop anyone might as well try to outscore them.

Patrick Mahomes
LeVeon Bell
Tyreek Hill
(Healthy) Sammy Watkins
Mecole Hardman
Travis Kelce

That would be BANANAS.
