NFL: ***Official Week Eight Thread***

Being an ISU and Bears fan makes you drink. Success running the ball in the I? Hey, lets go back to a shot-gun formation

Bear down, Chicago Bears!

Make every play pave the way to.....ahhh..... **** it.

Garbage team for the garbage town.

I just can't pass down this fandom to my boy. He doesn't deserve this.

DM has the kind of day rookie RBs dream of, and Tribiski actually makes the plays to at least get to a field goal, and it's dashed.

Just waiting for CBS to change away from Pats-Browns. 3 turnovers on consecutive possessions - Cleveland making this WAAAAY too easy for NE.

Von Miller absolutely owned the right side of Indy's o-line today. I kind of hope it was enough to make Chris Ballard call Elway, just to see what it would take to make a deal.

But they're a playoff team this season. Just ask them.

Their schedule gets pretty friendly after this week. Still have two games with the Steelers and Bengals each. Plus they already have a win over the Ravens.

But they won't make a run if they can't clean up the turnovers and mistakes. They look unprepared and sloppy way too often. I know Kitchens is a rookie head coach and he'll probably improve with experience, but he might be the wrong guy for this specific team. Too much youth and too many big personalities for him to keep it all together.

As a Chiefs fan it sucks to lose that game when you had opportunities to pull it out. (Much like ISU)

However this team competed a lot better than I thought they would with missing their starting LT,LG,DT,DE,CB, and Patrick Mahomes.

Defense looked improved but just stupid calls to have our LB in coverage on Jones out wide. Hitchens and Niemann (both Iowa guys) got abused all night in the pass game.

Agreed. I thought the game was going to turn into a blowout after GB scored twice early but Matt Moore played better than I expected. They gave it a good run. I thought I heard Mahomes had said that if it was a playoff game he would have played. I expect he'll be back next week for the Vikes matchup. It doesn't have much bearing on their division - they still hold a two game lead there - but at some point playoff seeding becomes a factor. They're still very much in the mix for the two seed and a first round bye.

Mostly quiet on the trade front with the deadline coming up tomorrow. The Cards got Kenyan Drake from Miami for a conditional fifth rounder. That's pretty decent value for the Cardinals, although I don't fully understand the rationale for it. They're better than I thought but not good enough to compete for a playoff spot. I know their running backs are dinged up but you'd think they could have found another solution without sacrificing a draft pick. The Dolphins now have a whopping thirteen picks in the 2020 draft, and they still might not be done dealing.
