BOWL TICKETS SOLD

Right, but you bought those via third party and not through ISU. Correct? My point was that you couldn't pick where your seats are and sideline tickets weren't really an option through ISU.

When I logged into my account to buy tickets it showed me a map of the cyclone sections. I then selected the price option that only had sideline tickets.

I logged in again just now. When I ordered my tickets, it just had price options - the color map wasn't there? The lower level prime wasn't even an option. Wonder if it was my browser?

why would that be? why would the Alamo bowl allot different initial amounts to each school? doesn't make any sense.
My understanding is the PAC12 will eat half of any unsold allocated bowl tickets for their teams. So WSU is on the hook for 6,000 and the conference eats the other 6,000. Someone feel free to correct me if that is not accurate.

They aren't any different...initial quota was 12,000 seats per school. The difference might be in that the PAC 12 will cover up to half of the quota if the attending school doesn't sell their initial quota...in this case, 6,000 seats.

I just called the ticket office to hopefully get in the lower level prime. Learned that it is for directors level donors only. $12,500 donation. That's likely why many of us couldn't see it.

Thanks. I was wondering the same thing. I did not even see that area when I bought mine. $135 was the highest. Congrats and thanks to those that give at $12,500.

Yeah they also said that they aren't going to be able to accommodate everyone there as it is. Would suck to order there and get stuck in the corner. Hopefully they have a better resolution for this for these people.

A big part of a big bowl payout is the corporate sponsors that pay $100,000 plus to help the bowl. That is where most of the sideline seats go, hard to get sponsors if you give them end zone seats.

What I hate is that the bowls give the Universities the worst seats in the stadium to sell. All of ISU's allotment was the end zone. I purchased them through ISU again but I don't think I will going forward. I want the best seat for my money and I could have bought much better tickets for the same or a bit cheaper on Sunday.

Same here. Its great to buy them through the AD but these bowls aren't stupid - they have access to other data to show who is buying tix. If I buy them through the bowl itself, they'll see they are associated with an Iowa address and put 2 and 2 together.
