You guys are all WAY overvaluing Drake.
Here's Drake's last 6 against scholarship FCS teams--
2018--Montana 48 Drake 16 (Montana went 6-5 and missed the playoffs
2017-- South Dakota State 51 Drake 10 (SDSU didn't play any starters in the 2nd half)
2016--South Dakota State 56 Drake 28 (Drake scored 21 points in the 4th)
2015--South Dakota 52 Drake 0 (South Dakota was 4-7)
2014--Western Illinois 38 Drake 13 (WIU was 3-8)
2013--UNI 45 Drake 14 (7-5 UNI team that missed the playoffs)
Drake won't play UNI anymore in fear of being exposed as not a real DI team. They aren't good. They'll be all jacked up but Iowa State's 3rd string would beat them handily. This game should be 42-0 at halftime and Iowa State could score 100 if they wanted to. I expect we'll have a 70-7 type game.

There is no need to scout Drake. They simply aren't on the same level.

Montana allowed 22 pts in the 4th quarter vs Montana State (who beat IW int he 1st round) in season finale and basically lost the playoff spot because of that game. I don't know how good or bad this Drake team is this year. In reality, Drake being a non scholarship has no business trying to even keep up with FCS scholarship teams, let alone a P5 team. At their peak, Drake could hang with top 25 FCS teams, and '13-15 were some of the worst Drake teams compared to the other years mainly due to a coaching change and rebuilding. I don't think anyone is suggesting that Drake will keep it close... just more of a 56-7 type of a game than a 70-0.
You really think there's anyone on Drake's team that can tackle DM? The majority of P5 players can't. I think the line should be set at 1.5.
I would love to see them have Lang take the opening kickoff to our 1 yard line and kneel, then give the ball to David let him break a 99 yard touchdown run then pull him for the rest of the game.
Pretty straightforward. There are only twelve (regular season) games. Only seven of those at Jack Trice. These guys have worked their tails off all year. They’ve earned a chance to play a game they love, in a place they love.

My prediction is that if Kempt was still the starter we would be upset that it was a somewhat close gane that we win 27-10. BUT... Purdy will play the first 4 drives in which we put up 28 points and then Kempt plays the last 2 drives of the 1st half, leading us to 10 points. Yep, 38-0 at the half. Re-al plays the entire 2nd half, along with all the other reserves, and does pretty well. Drake gets a FG in the 3rd and a garbage TD in the 4th on a pass from Kraemer to that big WR. Final score ISU 55 and Drake 10.
With the weather forecast, I'd expect the running game to dominate play and speed the game along. Not sure what is worse...cold rain or wet snow...

You need to treat this like any other game - period. Don't disrespect Drake and start the second and third team players, start the starters. After building a comfortable lead, take them out and allow the second and third team to get in the game.

One thing that stood out to me...the majority of their starters are seniors/redshirt seniors...a few juniors sprinkled in. They should be experienced and not make too many mistakes. I would expect that they'd represent their university well.

Pretty comparable size. The biggest physical mismatch will probably be on the short corners trying to cover Butler and Eaton, and anyone trying to stop Ray Lima.

Their OL actually looks to have good size. They also have some big WR's.
