No way. I want to see Butler shatter all single game recieving records and do so in only 2+ quarters.I’m excited to see what our depth RBs will do this game. I believe it will give them valuable experience for the coming season to get reps.

Has anyone seen them play this year? Based on stats alone this is what I have gathered...
They have a decent passing game, with one really good WR and a QB that is not half bad. Their run game is abysmal, averaging 2.7 yards per carry, and they have given up 37 sacks. I like that.
On defense, they are really tough on 3rd and 4th downs and in the redzone, but overall their defense is nothing special. Drake has 3 players that are 300 or more lbs.
Any insight from anyone who knows more about them?
I am looking at their roster, and this is amazing.

Jack Conlon, a 7 year old from my hometown (Clarion) that is battling cancer, is not only listed on their roster, but he has his own locker and signed a letter of intent to the team. Lots of respect to Drake! I went to school with Jack's dad and used to school him at basketball. I left Clarion not long after high school and haven't been back and had no idea Tom had a son that was fighting cancer. Best wishes to young Jack and the entire family.
The ISU record book says Danielsen had 1073 yards. So maybe they didn't count bowl game stats back then?I believe Lane had 1196yds, while Butler is at 1059yds right now. By my math, that's 137 yds.
I can't find a game log for 2002, but it's showing 14 games for Lane vs. 11 for Butler right now. Assuming the bowls games count, I would think he'll get it.

A Mote in the eye of God?Mote needs 53 yards to finish regular season with 1000 yards. Over/under how many runs does it take
I know we'll play with class against a bunch of kids that grew up dreaming of playing here or Kinnick. CMC knows every HS coach in the state will have eyes on this game. Not that it would matter. Campbell sees this for what it truly is a chance to improve his instate stature over the TOE. That's accomplished by winning with absolute class.

It will be interesting to see what CMC does to start this game. Will he go with the regular starters or will he go straight to reserves? How far can he go down the depth chart and still have better players than Drake?
Kyle should start against Drake. Save Purdy for the Bowl Game.
