***Official 2018 Stanley Cup Finals Thread***

OP needs to be thrown in the penalty box for calling it Stanley Cup Finals.

Stanley Cup Final.

Incorrect, that is only used if it is game 7.

For example they say finals here.

It's the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but it's the Stanley Cup Final.

Huh I see that now, I guess I’m always use to reading Finals that I figured that was what it’s called.

But to be fair Wikipedia says both terms are accepted. In the end we are just arguing semantics.

I'm not 100% sure on this part, but I think it's because it hasn't always been called the Stanley Cup Final, but that's what the NHL calls it now.

Anyway, I'll digress and get off my soapbox.

I'm pulling for Vegas to win it all. Doing so in its inaugural season would be one of greatest single seasons by a team in all of sports history.

I’m glad Vegas beat the Jets, but I gotta pull for Caps because T.J. Oshie is my favorite NHL player. No doubt Vegas would be a crazy good story though. I can only think Leicester City besting the odds in the premier league for a bigger story.
