Its been a rough few days for you. The Hohfer mistake, Carton cutting ISU and now a highly sought after LB picked Iowa over the Clones and several others.
Nobody cares about what Hohfer did, Carton was never coming to Ames and Iowa got what seems to be a pretty good LB. That isn't even close to a blip on the radar of being "a rough few days"
You are pretty desperate to show that Iowa is making any progress whatsoever. Everyone with half a brain realizes that we are taking this state over. 5 years from now we will be a top 20 program in both basketball and football, and Iowa won't even be in the top 50. The hoks are sinking fast.
As long as Fran is at Iowa we know ISU basketball will be better and ISU football was better than Iowa last year. That's all we know now
Going to be fun watching this kid and McDonald flying all over the field in a few years.

They have had back to back horrible basketball coaches. I think Iowa basketball may be dead and buried for a very long time. KF has stayed well past his prime and is moron of a son is next in line. I think it's fair to say we know they aren't going to good in football for a long time too.

Usually schools stay off of kids when they commit to an in-state school (at least publicly).
And that's the highlight here. These offers were "quiet" and Porter is a seemingly humble kid that doesn't post all over Twitter.
Many years back I worked for a farmer who was a dairy farmer and had a dairy science degree from ISU, and no he didn't need that degree. He mostly majored in parties and the ladies from his many talks with me.
