So, let me get this straight: Iowa takes a commitment from this kid, but doesn't look twice at Darien Porter that's just a few miles down the road? 247 has Porter ranked as an 88, which nearing 4* territory. And then there's the fact that at 6'4", Porter just ran a 46.6 400 at the Drake Relays.

Probably similar to taking Cole Banwart, who had a ranking of 80 over Sean Foster, who was an 89 and whose dad played at Iowa and was begging for an offer.

Or not offering Vance, JGJ or Meeker, who were all 25 miles away from Iowa City. Different coaches see different things. Some times they're right, some times they're wrong.

I don't disagree, but Porter is a 6'4" speed demon that appears to have good hands. He only had 10 catches last year, but his YPC was 25.1.
