Seriously, the way the have handled themselves throughout this process is pretty awesome. Shows great maturity and resiliency. Any posters that criticize the mental aspect of their game next year don't have very solid ground with the way they have acted compared to the team.

I hate the Yankees. Am I only allowed to do that if I'm not a Red Sox or Mets fan? I also hate the Lakers. Can I not do that if I'm not a Celtics can? Just trying to get clarification of what teams I have to like just to be allowed to hate another team.

Uh, no. I was just responding to someone who said that it was okay to hate the Bulls just because. And that's fine for anyone to do. But today, on the day they are taking our sweet Hoiberg away, my money is on that person being a bitter ISU fan. Not saying that's everyone. I just doubt there are so many Bulls haters on this board.
Meeting with the team (ISU) on Friday to talk to them. Loved hearing the media not softball every question, quite a change from the Iowa media that doesn't want to lose access to the teams (looking at Ia City)
Do you watch the NBA? The Bulls roster is in no way setup to make a championship run. Aging front court, superstar made of glass that is already passed his prime due to injuries, mediocre bench and a budding young all star off guard who's a free agent and thought to be looking to move on.
It's nothing to do with 'butt hurt', it's everything to do with looking through the most basic of coach speak. What do you think Fred is going to say? "Hopefully we make the playoffs!"? It's realistic to think that the Bulls might be staring down that lower Eastern Conference playoff purgatory range where they are good enough to get a first round beatdown but not bad enough to bring in actual talent in the draft.
It's a tried and true Chicago tactic. This year is always their year, in everything, because they are Chicago, and apparently the people there are predominantly morons.
Really, right now Fred is the only thing keeping me from absolutely hating the Bulls. If anything, he's made me hate them (slightly) less than I used to.
