So close to being a solid team.

Well if wins don't matter. Why bother even paying the coach.

It's starting to become obvious that wins and losses don't matter to the CPR 4 life drumbeaters. Cold, hard numbers get spun with excuses. We've already gone over the laundry list of them. I like CPR and think he's good for ISU and want him to succeed, he's just not doing it right now and keeping your head in the sand and buying all in on the fairy tale isn't going to change that

No I was satirizing the guy who said we shouldn't bother to expect a consistent winner at ISU.
You can expect it when it happens. Rhoads has had 3 seasons that are considered good at Iowa state. That's a fact.

I just oust realize that bad seasons happen. Rhoads doesn't have forever but you guys would have a better argument if you went with truth and not some fantasy world where has won 10 games TOTAL.

Pretty sure you have no idea what I'm saying, which is fine.

We should expect better than this but we shouldn't expect consistent 8 win seasons if that's what you are going for. You are right that we could pay a coach nothing, but chances that a coach who takes that money will ever be the anomaly we need to break into being a semi-consistent winner is much less than if we pay a guy a legitimate market value for being a head coach in the Big 12 conference.

Do you understand that I am trying to skewer this bull-**** mentality that since we are perennial doormats we must always be doormats.

Ask anybody on here who is a CPR supporter when enough is enough and they'll tell you he needs to get back to a bowl in 2015.

We don't always have to be doormats, which is why I think CPR needs to make it back to a bowl game next year or he should be out, but because we have been doormats any coach is going to get a little bit more time to figure it out. CPR made three bowl games in four years which earned him some extra time most coaches wouldn't have gotten.

No. But you must be realistic. Throwing a fit and acting like bad seasons don't happen to every coach is stupid.

Everyone crushes Chizik for going 5-19 during his time at ISU. Rhoads is 6-18 in his last 24 games. There's your truth, drink it in.

No one is saying it's been good. But I refuse to completely ignore the first 4 yrs. I also can awknowledge that the team is improving.

Richardson left too much time on the clock after our final drive. What was he thinking? :jimlad:

You should, sports is a 'now' sort of thing, what happened years ago doesn't matter. It's not like the first four years were great to begin with, there are 3 losing seasons in there.

Wait, I thought the season was supposed to be over after NDSU?

Theres a a lot of people that said that after every loss.....and they predicted a loss tonight ( I remember one thread after win last week saying that there was no way our offense could score on Texas). But same people are ****** and shocked they did lose.

Maybe for you. Not for anyone who lives in the actual world.
