Possible Transfer

6'7" with a nice shot a quick release would be a great role player off the bench when you're having trouble scoring. If that ever happens under Freddie.

Would you guys rather him go to Iowa and then end up scoring 15 points a game for them? I'm not saying he'll do that, but give the kid a chance.

Has anyone seen both Abrahamson and Uthoff their senior years in HS?

I was wondering who was more talented

I don't know why we would take him after passing on Jok. Seems like Jok has a higher upside and 4 yrs versus 3 after sitting out for KA.

Other than that they seem like similar prospects

People who say "I trust Fred" or mock people who have an opinion are far more obnoxious than either of those things. No **** people on here aren't D1 coaches but that doesn't mean D1 coaches have a monopoly on sports knowledge.
Actually, if our coaches are saying to cool it because it is harming their recruiting and to just trust them. Yet a-holes on here do it anyway, to feed their egois that is obnoxious....Its fine to have an opinion and state your opinion on our needs... but comments by some like "no thankyou" etc. About prospective recruits or transfers is dumb and harmful. Has nothing to do with knowledge.

No, you can say you don't trust the coaching staff. You think every fan base trusts their coaching staff? And that's why it does add to the conversation. It speaks to how the fan base feels about the coach. Implicit in the response "I trust Fred", I think, is the idea that maybe we don't really know why Fred wants a certain player, or what he would see in him. But just because we can't see why he wants a certain player doesn't mean we are going to poo poo it out of hand. or result to pure speculation.

In my post where I said I trust Fred, it was following the comment that I think we will be getting awfully crowded at shooting guard. Honestly I can't say why he would want him from what I have read, who we have coming in, and who we are pursuing. But it doesn't mean I'm going to lose my **** over it IF he does ever come here. Many feel the same way, and their responses are relevant because it speaks to how we feel about the coaching staff.

K guess we should just have a rainbows and sunshine board and never discuss anything.

It's not as if other boards don't have negativity about their coaches and recruiting decisions. I would bet that the better the program, the more intense the Internet chatter is about recruits, much of like it is here

God people, it's not about saying an opinion. It's the "no thanks" and "mediocre at best" etc that isn't necessary. If we don't take him, then you can do whatever but if there is chatter about a player coming here, s-t-f-u about him being "not good enough". I get its a message board and all that. Doesn't have to be positive but being negative serves no purpose.

He could use his sit out year to gain a ton of muscle and weight and work more on his shooting. You don't find many 6'7 big guys who shoot the three well and Kale does that. He would do well in Hoibergs system. The kid likes to shoot threes and he can drive the lane some too. Seriously, people are hard on him but he's a freshman on a horrible team in a system that doesn't match his basketball style at all so thats why he doesn't pop out at you. I think if he added 30 pounds in the off season/sit out year he would be a good get. I'd take him in an instant

Our dedicated fans are one of the few positives the coaches have to sell, no storied history, no great weather, a student body that is disproportionatly male, but hey its a good school, great campus and we have the best fans in the world that followed us through thick and thin ... When a recruit goes on here and sees a bunch of bashing, it undermines that message. Recruiing analysts, our coach, and multiple reporters have all said this yet you guys keep at it. I am not saying don't discuss the possibility or state that you think we need a different type of player with were we are at now in recruiting, but tone and how you state it matter. Many on here have done it well, others just dont seem to get it. That is what "I trust Fred" brings to the conversation... example, am not sure he fits our offense but I trust fred, or I think if a scholly opens up we should use it on a big but if fred sees potential in this kid I am all for it.... stating that he sucks, no thanks, no defense, all he does is shoot threes I dont want him are all stupid things to say. If true fred wont offer him but if not true and fred wants him they do harm.

I watched him tonight he played with energy and he was not bad for a true freshman and could see him contributing in ames. Like others have said am not sure he would fill our most pressing long term need with thethe guystop we haveare coming inin but will leave that for fred to decide. Glad he may want to come home though, says a lot about what Freds building.

Came on this thread to read about a possible transfer, and found a rhubarb about saying "in Fred we trust". Considering how much trust ISU fans gave a coach who admitted to underestimating what type of talent to recruit, I would think giving CFH that same treatment isn't out of line.

People saying he's not good enough probably makes wants him to come here more. If it doesn't, we don't want someone that soft anyways. We want competitive players who will put in the work and prove people wrong.

If you can't handle someone talking **** about you, don't play sports or anything that makes you "famous".

That would be fine if it weren't a choice and many possible choices have built in advantages over us. Comments like that diminish a percieved strength of ours, a great and supportive fanbase. Just cause other schools do it doesnt mean we should. And its not your call, or your opinion on this that mattters. The coaches, media, and recruiting analysts say it hurts; why should we trust that you know better?

This guy has done more than any of our freshman other than Georges, so I guess you guys don't want those players either. Are Long, Okoro and SDW mediocre too? If he came here he'd get to redshirt and play 3 years, I don't know why anyone wouldn't want him.

If he comes here who is he taking minutes away from? I want SDW and Matt Thomas getting the minutes. I don't want Kale taking minutes away from guys who chose to be a Cyclone.

And one of the main reasons why Abrahamson is getting minutes is because Northwestern is horrible and Drew Crawford got hurt. We can do better in the 2014 recruiting class. If Kale is the best player we can get then I am worried. I'm sure there will be better transfers later on.

******. I hope you aren't this dumb. If our freshman were on a crappy team, they would be playing too.

Most other teams think they have the best fan base too.
