How bout we just beat KSU?
That's all that concerns me right now.
Do that, and the bowl situation should be attractive for ISU (i.e., no Pinstripe)

How bout we just beat KSU?
They definitely have a chance to. It is far from a guarantee but it helps they are playing a ranked opponent this weekend.
If the Big 10 gets two into the BCS I will throw something. SEC has 4 teams in the top 12 of the BCS, Big 12 has 3 teams in the top 12... Big Ten has none.
Not sure you penalize Wisky or MSU for losing in a championship game. I don't think Michigan's chances of moving up are a guarantee by any stretch.
I think you have to. They are both 2 loss teams. I would agree if one were undefeated and one were a 1 loss, but with two, two loss teams, the loser is dropping.
Michigan moving up may or may not happen but the loser of the B1G Championship is a rock.
It will obviously be great if we could beat ksu, but that might not have any effect on our bowl selection.
I should clarify: I meant I don't think you drop them below Michigan. As to teams in other conferences that's a separate issue. But if you drop them below Michigan you are punishing them for making their conference championship game and rewarding Michigan for failing to do so.

Not valid to an extent when you have divisions within the conference and they don't all play each other. You have the winners from each side, 1E & 1W that play each other while 2E is rated just below both of them. Now of course 1E & 2E played each other, but say 2E & 1W did not. If 1E beats 1W by a large margin while 2E lost by a small margin than you can say that 2E is better than 1W and could/should be ranked above them...
That is one way a loser in a conference championship could fall below another team within their conference that did not play in the championship.
Here's the projections from the Star-Telegram in Ft. Worth, who probably covers the Big 12 much more closely than any of the national media:

A looks at projected bowl matchups involving Big 12 teams:
Fiesta: Oklahoma/Oklahoma State winner vs. BCS at-large
Cotton: Kansas State vs. SEC
Alamo: Texas/Baylor winner vs. Pac-12
Insight: Oklahoma/OSU loser vs. Big Ten
Holiday: Texas/Baylor loser vs. Pac-12
Meineke (Texas): Texas A&M vs. Big Ten
Pinstripe: Iowa State vs. Big East
Note: Expect SEC-bound Missouri (7-5) to be passed along to a bowl with no Big 12 affiliation. No bowl scouts attended Mizzou's 24-10 victory over Kansas.
Most interesting thing to me...NO bowl scouts? When you take this with Pinkel's comments yesterday, about "not expecting the Big 12 to do Missouri any favors," I think the fix is in, and the Cyclones are bound for the Bronx.
The Big 12 is determined to prove to Tiger fans that Missouri made the right decision.
