It will obviously be great if we could beat ksu, but that might not have any effect on our bowl selection.
I think you have to. They are both 2 loss teams. I would agree if one were undefeated and one were a 1 loss, but with two, two loss teams, the loser is dropping.
Michigan moving up may or may not happen but the loser of the B1G Championship is a rock.
I should clarify: I meant I don't think you drop them below Michigan. As to teams in other conferences that's a separate issue. But if you drop them below Michigan you are punishing them for making their conference championship game and rewarding Michigan for failing to do so.
I think it will. If we beat KSU and you start looking at Saragin and especially the late season play, you will see somewhere around a top 20 team. I fully believe we are a top 25 football team right now. We were not for three weaks though, which has been our downfall in regards to rankings and such.
True, but if MSU wins, that's really a non factor because WIsconsin and Michigan never played. I'm incredibly biased but the Big Tens best bet is to have Michigan in a BCS bowl along with Wisconsin. I think if MSU goes it will be a bloodbath. I still am not sure how Michigan lost to Iowa and MSU but that's college football.
Not valid to an extent when you have divisions within the conference and they don't all play each other. You have the winners from each side, 1E & 1W that play each other while 2E is rated just below both of them. Now of course 1E & 2E played each other, but say 2E & 1W did not. If 1E beats 1W by a large margin while 2E lost by a small margin than you can say that 2E is better than 1W and could/should be ranked above them...
That is one way a loser in a conference championship could fall below another team within their conference that did not play in the championship.
To go further, I said this last week. Had Arkansas beaten LSU, and then lost to Georgia, you may have still seen Bama and LSU in the National Championship. That's two teams from the same division in the NC and neither one won the division. This year has been crazy. I really wish Boise would have gone undefeated.

I completed some quick analysis to compare a bias in the Coaches Poll when compared to the average computer rankings. I'm still a firm believer that while you obviously need some human emphasis having large outliers indicates a bias in the human polls.

I love the idea of Dallas, but for purely selfish reasons, part of my family couldn't go if it was a 1/2 game. (teacher has classes that start on 1/3 and they can't really miss first day back from break).

Most interesting thing to me...NO bowl scouts? When you take this with Pinkel's comments yesterday, about "not expecting the Big 12 to do Missouri any favors," I think the fix is in, and the Cyclones are bound for the Bronx.

Nope, the Big 12 is simply giving them their reward for making the decision they did.
Of course, it would require intelligence above that of the majority of Mizzou fans to realize they are getting what they deserve. Just wait until you become a yearly sacrifice on all levels in the SEC. There is no way in hell the SEC is going to allow Mizzou to acheive any level of success.
Honestly...take the Big12 hate out of the equation for this one and think...if a team was leaving your conference because they were fed up with your conference, would you put that team in one of your conference's bowl affiliations if you didn't have to? Away from other teams that are staying with your conference? Of course you wouldn't. Why does the Big12 owe Missouri any favors at this point in time?
Same with Texas A&M...and they are only jumping a team because of good business in Texas and that lower-tier bowl wants to maximize their profits. If the Big12 had a lower tier bowl tie in with a bowl in Missouri...the Natty Light Drinky Pinkel Columbia-Crap Bowl...then I would expect Missouri to receive the same treatment as Texas A&M in that situation.
