He misses some key stuff, namely the idea that the Big East won't have room for ISU.

1) The SEC is going to add another team. Probably out of the ACC who will in turn take a Big East team. This would leave 8 schools in the Big East, and a slot for ISU.

2) The Big East can always go to 14.

Big East will have 17 members already with TCU. You're completely forgetting the non-football schools.

This post has to be the most ignorant thing I have ever heard. Do you really think that 3 programs left because they couldnt beat a certain team? I believe the programs left the conference because of Texas but it wasnt due to product on the field. Texas drove the SWC into the ground and are about to do the same thing to the B12 all in under 20 years. Texas ever increasing need for power is what is destroying this conference. Teams leaving for better conferences with more stability and better money is not tucking your tail, its called good business sense. What we and the forgotten 5 are doing is called tucking your tail and/or committing program suicide. We fear ******* off UT will ultimately cause them to leave thus relegating us to some no name conference, so we just let them do whatever they want. I can almost garauntee the b12 will last just long enough for the Whorns to get there LHN up and running and then they are going to bail. Then we will be left holding the bag and for what? Wake up dude.

1. Texas A&M has a very unhealthy obsession with Texas. Check out the words to their fight song. A&M and their fans have one of the most insane thought processes you will ever see. They have one of the most pathetic inferiority complexes ever when it comes to Texas yet when they look in the mirror to evaluate A&M's worth.... get this..... they have one of the biggest superiority complexes ever. When they look at Texas they **** their pants but then they look at themselves and think they are the greatest program college football has ever seen. Talk about bipolar... WOW! So yes... they are certainly leaving and you can tab the #1 reason as getting the hell away from Texas. PERIOD! A close second is that they actually believe they are good enough to be in the SEC and compete in the SEC. Crazy stuff.

2. Colorado... well... they didn't feel like they belonged in the Big XII. Big XII teams have fans that care deeply about their team and results. Colorado on the other hand doesn't. They were more like soccer fans that just showed up for the riot and to throw urine bombs at Nebraska fans from time to time. They like the idea of the west coast because they can get higher grade weed out there compared to the crap they can get here in the midwest. Hang ten dude.

3. Nebraska. Well this is the one that left out of petty jealousy. They were the big dog, they owned the Big 8 and they thought they would do the same in the Big XII. It was their vote to block equal revenue sharing that created this Texas monster. Nebby thought they would be in the spot that Texas is in but Texas was just better at being greedy then old Nebby. Texas got their big slice of the pie and then fired the kill shot at Nebby when they got the rules changed to no longer allow partial qualifiers to play in the Big XII. That move devestated Nebraska's program and they still haven't recovered. So Nebraska.... A) Gave Texas a huge chunk of the revenue pie. B) Got screwed by Texas on the qualifier rule change. C) Got their ***** kicked inside and out by Texas on the football field.

Yeah... Nebby may have left for a sweeter deal in the Big 10 but was it not for Nebraska's own greed and moronic decision making they would have had just as sweat of a deal right here in the Big XII. They are a victim of their own creation and yes... Nebraska left the Big XII because of Texas. Nebby screwed the entire Big XII from the word go. ********!

There you have it.

classic PC. arrogant, condescending, "i told you so," hindsight is 20/20 baloney.

Remember this board last summer? "sports talk matt" was in charge of all Big East discussion and he crushed anyone who talked about it being possible. We all know now that is fact. PC was all over it. PC has never changed his tune. He said last year he wasn't buying the happy new Big 12. That is 20/20 FORESIGHT. He's also said all along that ISU won't get sent down to the minors. I like that.

I try to stay out of this stuff because I like both CR and CF. The more Cyclone sites the better!!!!!!!

Don't know if this has been posted but Beebe essentially is showing A&M the door.

That's great Dan. Keep fueling the impression that this is just a one-team league. Tell A&M the Big 12 is better off without them and we are putting all our eggs in the basket of UT. Just a few days it was reported that you weren't even in contact with A&M about the whole ordeal, but rather were in talks with UT's William Powers.

Could we have a more inept commissioner?

Not sure I beleive that, the money is so much different they would be insane not to listen. At least 20M a year in the Big 12, much less in the Big East.

Why would any team already in a BCS conference want to join the instability of the Big 12 that might not be there in a year let alone 5 years?

Exactly. All these "suggestions" for schools to join the Big 12 are pipe dreams. Our conference is a mess.

Oh I don't disagree, but there is more money in the Big 12 than the Big East. And we havent even done our tier 1 rights yet. That alone will make people listen. Listen, the Big Easy is not a stable football conference either and the money is ****.
