Switching careers in your 40s or older

Has anyone said '**** it I hate my career' that you have had for 20+ years and switched to something completely different? How did you do it and what sort of career did you switch to? I'm really not wanting to go back to school for a new degree at this point in my life but I am getting really burned out with the stress of corporate ****.

Remote Phone call conferencing

Calling all tech Geeks. I'm looking for a better solution. I have a new employee working remote and I want to be able to join in (or listen) to his calls for training.
We both have Galaxy S20 phones through Verizon. I have been using the call merging feature but when the customer answers and you hit Merge Calls there is 2-3 seconds of dead time which is annoying and confusing for the customer. Also, I don't want to use a VoIP system
Any suggestions??

Football Season Ticket Renewal and Prices

I believe season ticket renewals may begin this week, and as mentioned prices will increase.

Donor prices up to $475
Sukup up to $825
Lower ends/non-donor up to $299
Upper ends/non-donor up to $199
Mobile pass up to $175

Not surprising since ticket prices were static for several years. Plus, the team is winning.

WBB: Iowa State adds 47.1% 3-point shooter in Hannah Belanger

Just got off the phone with Hannah. Great get for any offense, let alone Iowa State's - which was in need of replacing a few scorers:

Question on Social Media Strategy to help Cyclones

Looking at On3's NIL Values it occurs to me that a player's Instagram, Twitter and other Social Media followers has more impact than a player's on the field performance (but both are better).

If my assumption above is correct, should we encourage all Cyclone fans to follow our players to help improve their chance to get funded by corporate America?

For example, Omaha has the 28th Ranked NIL Value but is a higher rated recruit than Mikey Williams, yet Mikey blows Omaha out of the water in NIL value. Both are great players but Mikey has a huge social media following. Cyclone Nation may not be able to deliver millions of followers, but we tend to be more active with social media than other fan bases.

At the risk of be a creeper, my thought is if we follow all of our players, perhaps corporate America helps fund some of the NIL gaps. (Not that I plan on changing my strategy to support the We Will Collective).

Assuming the strategy is a sound one, is there a place where our athlete's social medial handles are published? Ideally: Player commits to Iowa State, social media handle is posted, player's NIL value bumps immediately. (or visa versa if they leave on bad terms). I can look them up on my own but the key is to get thousands of Cyclones to act - not dozens.

Adding Sports?

Okay, so I get it.

I know full well that the storyline about being unable to compete as a “cold weather” school was complete hoo haw. All you had to do even back then was look at all the successful schools at similar—or even more northerly—parallels to see that. Schools like Creighton, Nebraska, Notre Dame…even Minnesota has cranked out some good players over the years.

At the time, it was all about the money. And balancing scholarships due to Title IX.

Well, we have more money now. A lot more money than when that decision was made. And with CyTown becoming a reality, perhaps it’s time to look into the relatively near future.

Speaking as a guy who spent his fair share of time sitting in the rickety old Cap Timm bleachers watching a buddy play…just how much money does it take to bring baseball back?

And…what women’s sport do we add to balance?

My first guess would be rowing or lacrosse…but I’m certainly no expert. Not sure if fencing would offer enough scholarship opportunities.

After all, many of the women’s sports are being successful, some wildly so. Why not one more?

Thanks Gabe

Dude came to Iowa State coming off a 2 win season. Helped get us to the sweet 16 and turn the program around. He could have easily gone to a school that had a better season the year before and an established coach. He didn’t. He came to Iowa State and believed. Didn’t have his best game yesterday. However, he will be one of the players that goes down as the player who helped turn this thing around. I appreciate that. Great leader.

First off, all Reeses are fanstastic and the best candy ever made. That said, there is something about the color of the wrapper of the mini cups you get at Easter that make them more satisfying.

For example, the blue wrapped ones are better than the gold wrapped ones. Its science.
