Breece vs Bijan

I’m certain articles like this were written about Breece last year but it still generates a question for me. I’m the type of guy that digs in deep on ISU and I’m familiar but not super clued into the rest of the Big12 but I am fairly uninformed when it comes to the rest of college football. Why is it the conversation last year was can Breece sneak into the very end of the first round vs this year I’m seeing a decent amount of mock drafts with Bijan as high as the top ten.

I’m sure team needs and draft positions is a large factor but is Bijan really viewed as that much better of an NFL prospect? The two guys almost had identical final seasons as far as production but Breece essentially did it twice. Then Breece did slightly better in the combine.

I hate to say it but is it as simple as he’s got the longhorn logo next to his name.

Don't go around tonight...

A 600-pound defunct satellite is expected to crash into the Earth on Wednesday (April 19). NASA said the Reuven Ramaty High Energy Solar Spectroscopic Imager (RHESSI) spacecraft is expected to reenter the atmosphere around 9:40 p.m. ET, with an uncertainty of plus or minus three hours.

While a majority of the decommissioned satellite should burn up in the atmosphere, NASA warned that some pieces may survive reentry and crash into the surface. However, the chances of the debris harming anybody are approximately 1 in 2,467, the space agency predicted.

NASA does not know where the debris will fall and said the Department of Defense is constantly monitoring the satellite as it falls out of orbit.

RHESSI was launched in 2002 to study solar flares and coronal mass ejections. It was decommissioned in 2018 and has been in a slowly decaying orbit ever since.

"During its mission tenure, RHESSI recorded more than 100,000 X-ray events, allowing scientists to study the energetic particles in solar flares. The imager helped researchers determine the particles' frequency, location, and movement, which helped them understand where the particles were being accelerated," NASA said.

Guaranteed. Lea Nelson will be your new favorite ISU athlete.

Seriously, you should listen to this podcast before any others this week on CF or Iowa Everywhere. It is amazing.

Steph & Alisa interview Lea Nelson of the Iowa State softball team. There aren't 10 seconds in a row of this podcast that aren't compelling. I guarantee that Lea will become one of your favorite Iowa State athletes after listening to this podcast. It starts with discussion about the unique relationship that is forming between the Iowa State softball team and the West Virginia baseball team. She gives great insight into the life of a softball player, including glimpses into dugout personalities and relationships with coaches.

If Steph & Alisa gave birth to a podcast child, it would be Lea!

Georges Niang Content

If you are anything like me, you enjoy watching a little recent content from the previous week or so leading up to the next game. Maybe some highlights, interviews or recaps. Maybe even a full-game replay! This is difficult to do when the Cyclones are on a three game skid. So instead, maybe you will enjoy this relatively recent Georges content like I did. Enjoy! Workplace Restroom Incident

I recently headed to my employee lounge to warm up my lunch. While letting it warm up in the microwave, I thought I would run over to the one hole, uni-sex restroom to take a quick leak. I opened the door to seeing one of my new, extremely rotund, female co-workers, let's say "cleaning up". After giving what I am sure was a look as though I just seen the devil himself, I said "I am so sorry!" and shut the door. Needless to say, I may be skipping my lunch today and am reaching to CF for counseling.

1) Why in the hell does crap like this always happen to me?
2) Why was I the one saying sorry? Should she have said sorry?
3) Is there any reason I should say anything about the incident or simply let it burn?

Alright people, time to chime in on an online debate.

So to summarize, forgettable MLB pitcher takes to Twitter to slam United for making his 5 month pregnant wife pick up some popcorn his kids spilled during the flight. Said pregnant wife's marginally famous sister-in-law also chimed in. It's led to a decent debate on social media about picking up after your kids.

I'm always mortified by the mess my kids leave when are in public. I make them pick it up to the extent we are able without a broom, vacuum, etc. and will always leave a bigger than usual tip if I know they have extra to clean up. But I've seen quite a bit on social media about United being paid to clean the plane. Where do you land?

NIL and the portal will kill wrestling

I copied this from the Oklahoma State board. This was posted by a long time fan and a friend of mine. Just thought you might want to read his take. It is sad. I agree with most of what he is saying. The posters web name is Oberebo.
A majority of my friends call me old school and an old buddy-duddy or less moderate names that I will not post on this board. The NIL and the. portal will allow Penn State, Iowa, Ohio State and 1 0r 2 others to totally dominate wrestling.I believe many marginal teams will just eliminate wrestling as they will not be able to compete. I actually detest the idea that we will have to pay wrestlers to come to Stillwater. I am rapidly losing my enthusiasm for the sport and I know many will say "well he is old and can not grasp new ideas" and that it is a young man's sport. Our fan base is older than most and time will change that and younger fans will be satisfied and enthused over what will become pro wrestling.
This may be my last post. I have been a fan of OK State wrestling since 1960 when I saw my first wrestling match which was bedlam.I think it is time for me to find other interests. I am not mad or embittered but only feeling a sense of loss. Many class posters on this board that I will miss. The new realities in wrestling I will not.
