Planting Update - 2023

Ok farmers...have you started planting yet, what percentage are you done, and what part of the state are you in?

Beernuts has not started, probably less than 5% corn - 1% soybeans planted in Northern Iowa.

Probably about 5% of corn and 10% of beans in in central iowa.

We’ve got about 10 acres before planter issues. Long way to go.

Couple of days last week but approaching rain and cold weather tamped down full bore planting. Probably less than 5% C & 1% SB. Reporting from SW Iowa.

Farmers around here (Central Iowa) were planting corn on or before the crop insurance date (4/10). I'm pretty certain there may have been some beans planted as well.
