Average Joe Cyclone Fan contribute to NIL

Will there be an opportunity for the average fan to contribute to an NIL fund for Iowa State players? If not, someone needs to get one going. Most of us aren’t millionaires or even close to that, but I’m sure we could get a large number of average joe fans to donate to an NIL fund. I hope this option is available. I would love to donate and, knowing our rabid fan base, I’m sure others would as well.

Lipsey and King Freshman Year Potential

With swaths of guard minutes now open from Hunter's departure, I'm curious what the high end potential of our incoming freshman guards is? I know neither of them are likely to be Hunteresque top-40 talent, but from guys who've seen them play, do either have the chance to impact games on next year's team? Does Lipsey have freshman year Monte Morris type potential? I know they're totally different positions, but think of Brady Manek freshman year at OU; he was a .9303 247 composite rank, 113 in the country. King is .9289, 133 in the country. Could King have a Manek-like impact his freshman year? He seems to already have high-major body, explosiveness, and scoring potential. Or do those minutes likely get eaten by Williams and another transfer?

STANZ: Thoughts on Tyrese Hunter's transfer, ISU and an NIL collective and more

Just let the thoughts flow.

There is an NIL business opportunity here for someone creative and energetic

There is a great NIL business opportunity for someone in Ames, Des Moines, Ankeny, wherever.

Sign and promote ISU athlete's in all sports. Could involve an existing marketing or talent company or a new venture completely separate from those types.

Sign the athletes to exclusive contracts. Do merchandising, personal appearances, product endorsements, whatever, all through your company. The merchandising attempts I have seen so far for ISU athlete's have been pretty lame, IMHO. Whoever is designing these t-shirts, please start employing some creative, savvy, talented artists! Putting an unrecognizable image of a football player in uniform throwing a pass or making a running cut is boring as it can be! Nicknames, slogans, creative cheers, whatever are needed....not just a line drawing with a signature.

I don't know what the NCAA restrictions are on this, but I would think the ISU athletic department could offer some advice, and it may be worth their time and effort to give it. Also, organizations like the Aumini Association and the ISU Foundation may offer some advice on promotions or contacts.

Every non-blueblood school in any sport is going to find themselves in non-competitive situations rapidly if the do not figure some way to get a program, private or whatever, in place to provide NIL opportunities for their student-athletes. Otherwise, they will recruit an athlete for the first year...that athlete is better than expected that first year....and poof...he or she is gone the next year to the best NIL potential. Of course, if they realize the un-regulated mess they have created, the NCAA could fix things. Yeah, right.

Just a thought. I'm too old to do it, but the opportunity is there, I'm pretty sure.

Window replacement questions: residential

Hello

Looking for real life experience feedback (not a link) from anyone who has installed or replaced windows with 'noise-reducing' windows

~ Dissimilar ? (two difference pane thicknesses)
~ Offset ?
~ triple-pane vs double pane ?
~Vinyl, Fiberglass, or wood w/ aluminum clad ?

This application is for western exposure (fiberglass frames may become brittle over time) and moderate traffic noise

any opinions are welcome.. thank you in advance!

Friday OT #2 - Hey, You've Got To Hide Your Love Away

Do you have any side/recreational activities or talents you really enjoy doing, to the point where maybe you could have made a career out of it in different circumstances?

For example, I really, really love travel planning, and do a pretty intricate job of it. I've had several friends just tell me to plan their vacation for them, and let me go. I also really enjoy interior design, but can see that it might be difficult to make really personal decisions for someone else.

What are yours?
