Worst weekend ever as a Cyclone fan?

It hurts a ton because we had such hopes for these teams and because the teams are filled with such good people.

The current pain is something we feel as the programs are on the ascent. It is better than the numbness of not even being in the tournament and not even having high aspirations.

The pain is lessened a bit by knowing that we aren't going to come crashing down next year. There is plenty of good reason to be hopeful for next year in MBB, WBB, and Wrestling.

In the words of our fearless leader @ChrisMWilliams , "We aren't Cyclone fans because it's easy. We are Cyclone fans because it's Awesome!"

Go Cyclones!

My hope for the MBB team was to not get shut out in conference.

I think 2015 was worse. We had a roster full of NBA players and lose to 14-seed UAB. The women also lost the first game of their tournament that year to Dayton.

Seems like a lot of people missed this point. I'm not talking one basketball game. I'm talking a weekend of ****** results.
those single results were worse than this weekends multiple results, at least in the minds for many of us who have been around awhile :-)

I think to me, worse would be not having either MBB or WBB in the tournament. Plus, the men have a good recruiting class coming in.

Eek. Putting it that way is depressing.

This weekend is a bummer for certain, but I'm not sure it's as bad as 2003 even as a condensed version.
Hey,even though his team, which is pretty good, lost - Hakeem looked good yesterday and the St. Louis roster abounds with Cyclones. Chin up.

The women’s gold team has an 18 stroke lead on the nearest competitor in their event this weekend. We are a school that only cares about women’s golf, right?

This weekend and the weekend that Purdy was hurt come to mind…
Yes! I was trying to remember the really bad weekend from earlier in the year, and that was it. R-O-C-K <> B-O-T-T-O-M on the Cyclones Emotions-Meter. I had already blocked that weekend out of my mind apparently.
