My only issue is he couldn't win at Michigan, I know Michigan doesn't have the easiest games ever, but you should always be able to get 6 wins at least. If you can't get to a bowl at Michigan, you won't be about to get to a bowl at Iowa State.

Im not saying he would be my first choice. Just pointing out the actual facts of his time at Ball State. He wouldnt be as bad as jsb thinks.

Your probably right. But if I've learned anything today, it's that Iowa State can do much better.

There are some coaches that do more with less talent and Hoke is kinda tha type of guy. I'm not sold on Hoke and I don't think JP would hire him necessarily but he's been a successful HC and was a HC at one of the top 10 college football programs of all time.

I've been told I'm crazy to think what I do. So I'm going by what all of you seem to think. So, yes I think you all have been saying that we can do better than Brady Hoke. That's not the hire that screams to me that Iowa State football is a good job.

But I am still predicting we end up with a position coach or a low-major not especially successful head coach.

Unless we opt for a complete style change, then you have to reach out to Jeff Brohm. If you want an extreme make over, Calhoun is our guy, but I seriously don't think Calhoun is interested in the job. Brohm is worthy of at least an interview.

Agree. Brohm I really like. He has turned around a Western Ky team that was horrid. Guy can coach and makes QBs studs. Yes please. Brohm is a rising star IMO.

If we get a low to mid major guy it will be a HC who has been successful. Pollard has learned some lessons..and the. Let imortant one I believe is you have to bring in a guy who can recruit to Ames and that has been successful building a program. Prohm had great success at Murray st. Just my hunch
