WILLIAMS: What's next (potential candidates)

Isn't Brady Hoke the ******* that made the kid with the concussion play?

If you can't win at Michigan, you can't win at Iowa State.

Brady Hoke was incredibly average at Michigan. What makes anyone think he would be a good fit at ISU?

I might give up on Iowa State football if they hire Brady Hoke. People for whatever reason don't understand just how bad he was with some of the best talent of any Big 10 school.

This is incredibly stupid to say. I don't want Hoke but to say he can't win here is dumb. He won and Ball State and San Diego State before going to Michigan. Rich Rod didn't win at Michigan but is currently winning at Arizona.

Gonna guess it won't be anyone on this list. That is how JP works.

Still think ink it will be Toledo's coach. The Ayeni connection makes too much sense.

Pollard should be making a full court press on two people: Troy Calhoun (Air Force) and Ken Niumatalolo (Navy). Both coaches have done a remarkable job of doing more with less. From recruiting, facilities and budget...they've faced it all and won. These are the two we should be focusing on.

Also if this job doesn't pay at least $3 mil and expand the assistant salary pool then it's just lip service from Pollard and the administration about truly being competitive and sustaining success.

Enough of the excuses...time to RAISE EXPECTATIONS.

Hoke was 34-38 in six seasons at Ball State.

I'd rather just meet the mediocre expectations that we currently have for a couple years in a row before we decide to raise them.

New guy. Welcome to Fanatic. I see you have a grasp of the obvious.

Hoke and there is a surprise candidate that has interest in the job. Not sure if anything will come of it, but he would be a great hire. Can't wait to see how things play out.

So another coach that has been fired from a big name school? Sign me up for that!

He wasn't that great at Ball State.

So I expect you are also raising your donations too?
