If it was production issues, then his replacement should be summarily dismissed. I do not recall any off the court problems. Moreover, recruiting was going very well. This is some of worst ISU basketball I've seen in many years.

Ask that guy Doyel from cbs sportsline. He broke some scheduling scandal, which I guess was enough to get him fired.

Lack of discipline was one of the main reasons cited.

I'll take lack of discipline within the program and some wins over what we're seeing now.

I never really like Morgan anyway. He always had that same puppy dog look on his face. He never showed any emotion at all.

Let's give Coach McDermott another year. I think he's got the makings for getting this program back on the upswing. With all due respect to Morgan, he was not a head coach. Witness his previous one year as a head coach in California.

because he was a horrible coach. here's a question, even though he recruited great players why did we suck his last year here? we were clearly talented enough to get into the NIT at least, but no we couldn't even do that. watching games that year was the most frustrating thing in the world.

In the end, you are judged by your wins, thus sayeth the Lord (Ephesians 4:11)

If he was wrongly fired, he should be coaching somewhere today, right?

Very well put! He was a great recruiter but just seemed to lack emotion during games. How many times the camera would go to him when the team was down and he just had that look "puppy dog" look and wouldn't seem to even try to get the guys fired up...almost like he was giving up.

At least he did not embarrass our entire ISU family by dropping 157 f-bombs on national TV...i.e. LE vs. MSU

Winning only a handfull of conf. games these last few years is more embarrassing.
