Weather forecast for UNI game

an educated guess by trained meteorologists

Is them saying...........

"I can take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed"

....all because the are "trained".

Props to the writer of "Tommy Boy" for that quote. It fits perfectly for those who think they are smarter by half.

Hot but not humid. High around 94-95 I'd say. Heat index maybe jumps to 100 at peak heating. But overall not that muggy.
Add another 10 degrees for being crammed inside the stadium with 65,000 other warm sweaty bodies and no shade.

Starting to appreciate more and more why so many folks prefer to sit at home on their comfy couch and watch the game on their big screen high definition TV.

Kickoff is now 4 days out and the forecast is calling for a high of 95. Don't know what the record is for warmest game, but this might be it.

We have tailgate temps ranging from upper 60's to about 90, and the heat index isn't supposed to get over 95 throughout the game. Nice 10+ mph breeze the whole time. Yeah, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it won't be the hottest ever. UNI game a few years ago was worse.

I was thinking about trying to bring in a couple of unopened frozen bottles of water for my wife and I, but I'm guessing they won't allow that.

That is a fantastic idea. I'm going to try it. Carry them in my one gallon clear bag.

Are people really able to tell the difference between an air temp of 89 or 93? The number everyone needs to be watching is the dew point. People also just in general need to learn about relative humidity vs dew point.

Both are going to be ridiculously hot, that's all I know.

Pretty sure not the warmest ever.

I was at the Iowa game in 2021. That sucker was hot … and it didn’t help that was the day somebody decided to make an offer on our house in Cedar Rapids and I was trying to be on the phone with my realtor most of the day.

I do that every game, it's never been an issue. I like the bigger 32 oz bottles so it stays icy longer.
