Weather forecast for UNI game

Hate to be that one, but I told you forecasts 12-14 days out aren’t very reliable

Look everyone knows a 14 day forecast can be unreliable, so you can congratulate yourself for stating the obvious. The point is the 14 day forecast is an educated guess by trained meteorologists, not a wild ass guess by someone off the street.

The forecast 14 days out was for 88 with little chance for precip. Now the forecast 6 days out is for 93 with little chance of precip. I wouldn't say that's a dramatic change. I figured the 14 day forecasted high would be within +/- 3 degrees. Guess we'll find out in 6 days.

Lines to the water fill stations will be long. Hope they make plans to have extra opportunities for refilling water bottles. Or, maybe remove the 1 water bottle per person restriction at entry?

It would be nice if they had some of those big misting fans stationed around the concourse and maybe a splash pad for the kiddos!

Back when the stadium restrooms had these for hand-washing (or rinsing, really), they came in clutch during hot games -- just stick your head under the spray.

Really should be the default option for opening games unless its a major tv decision (which it isn't usually going to be for an FCS game). More often than not its going to be hot for that first week.

Agree, storms are rarer on that first weekend that high heat indexes at 1pm.

I thought those were just a circular trough urinal!

The older I get, the less I'm able to tolerate extremely hot days. I just ordered one of those cooling towels that fits over your head like a hoodie. Plan to wear it inside the stadium.

That's one of the funny things about getting older. It's all about comfort....who gives a rip about fashion.

It's going to be brutal. Sitting in the crowd in direct sun you can add 10 degrees at least to the temp. The first aid folks are going to be busy on Saturday.

1 empty or unopened up to 20oz per person. They may change that for this game.

One unopened water bottle, or an empty bottle for refilling, per person. I would guess with hot weather they'd relax that and allow more than one per person. Keep an eye out for an announcement this week.

Supposed to be empty but last yr I had one with some ice in it my gate person let it slide. There are water fill stations on the concourse.

I was thinking about trying to bring in a couple of unopened frozen bottles of water for my wife and I, but I'm guessing they won't allow that.
