Good win by Baylor to go 2-0 opening against two ranked teams in Big 12 play.
Don't know if dressing like the diva gets her stoked. I will say that in this world of NIL, The Iowa City Sith player, lucre chasing conference realignments, SEC/big io domination, ...Meanwhile in Baton Rouge, it’s dress like Kim Mulkey night and winner gets one of her jackets. Lots of sequins in the crowd.
Nothing like stroking her ego.
...but mostly because college sports changed from a small business to a bloated, self-indulgent industry where administrators could expect close to a seven-figure annual salary, getting wined and dined at five-star resorts and a level of fame that fed their voracious egos if they rose high enough in the industry. https://www.usatoday.com/story/spor...ed-leaders-expansion-ncaa-pac-12/70519616007/
Happened to catch some of the Nebraska Wisconsin women's game last night. Neither team was that impressive and the crowd in Madison was lacking, could not been more that 1000 people it looked like.
I cannot get espn+ to bring up this game. Always gives me an error message. Anyone else having this issue? I can connect to other games on espn+.Texas up 23-16 in 1st. Turned it over 7 times in the quarter but still scored 23 points. WVU offense looks too raw to score much on Texas. They shot 6-21 in the quarter.
I thought they were only goping six or seven deep with Prince. Will be interesting to see what happens? They come to Ames 1/20 and play Texas and KSU before that. They also play Houston before us but don’t expect them to have a problem with them.1/6/24
FORT WORTH – TCU's Sedona Prince suffered a hand injury, the team announced on Saturday.
The injury occurred during the 23rd-ranked Horned Frogs' game at No. 6 Baylor on Wednesday.
Prince is expected to return to the court before the end of the season.
Prince is averaging 21.2 points and 10.6 rebounds per game this season and is tied for second nationally in double-doubles (10). She is the only player in the country averaging at least 20 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks per game this season. Prince has twice been honored as Big 12 Player of the Week.
Prince was the centerpiece of a historic start to the 2023-24 campaign. The 6-7 center helped TCU (14-1, 1-1 Big 12) run the table in nonconference play for the first time ever and achieve its earliest AP Top 25 ranking in 13 seasons. The Horned Frogs' 14 straight wins to begin the year was the longest winning streak to start a season in the history of TCU men's and women's basketball.
TCU faces Oklahoma State (8-5, 1-1 Big 12) at 4 p.m. on Saturday in Schollmaier Arena.

It's still early, but they're down 14 at home to Oklahoma State right now, who are absolutely dominating the offensive glass (24-4 paint points). I think it's fair to say they'll miss her...I thought they were only goping six or seven deep with Prince. Will be interesting to see what happens? They come to Ames 1/20 and play Texas and KSU before that. They also play Houston before us but don’t expect them to have a problem with them.
