Walking Dead

A little language in it for those of you who may be at work.

I like how the just keep rotating in black characters on this show. T dog dies and is replaced like 1 episode later, then prison black guy, dont even remember his name dies and the same episode he is set up to be replaced by the leader of the other prison group.

I know, we've been laughing at that too. Its gotten so obvious that I seriously thought the governor might kill Michonne since Tyrone brought a friend along with him.

Killing the black people off is the longest running horror movie cliche there is. I liked T Dog. The nes group that they have locked up seem like they may stick though. The leader who calmed, what I assume is his wife, down is mature and knows what is up.

Sunday nights, no zombies or alien space invaders for two months! This is going to suck as bad as losing to Iowa last week.

I meant to start a zombie apocalypse thread over the summer. I think I talked to longtime about doing it in another thread in the spring. We could discuss everything from shelter to weaponry to groups of people. I know I could still start that thread, but it was gonna be an offseason thread.

Why couldn't poison gas work? Just wondering, considering we're talking about a fictional creature here

They don't breathe air, as they are dead. Logically you could extrapolate they would not need to eat, but we are talking horror mythology. If they don't want brains, no story.

If you throw the gas you kill live people making more zombies.

Why would it work? Have they established that zombies breathe, or need to? If they don't, it can't really help. If they do, you're in business.
They still need oxygen to power their mutated mitochondria. Without it they couldn't convert human flesh into ATP, and without ATP, rigor mortis sets in.

The zombies in the walking dead don't breathe. Remember those zombie heads in the fish tanks under water? The ones that were blinking and still alive, and then when the tanks broke and the heads rolled around on the floor, they were still biting trying to eat people.
If zombies turn out to be anything like the walking dead zombies, poison gas won't have any effect on them. Like somebody else said, all you will do is kill living people and create more zombies.

When talking about zombies, all physiology goes out the door. All of the impossible just became possible. All ways the body once worked, is now completely different.

It might make for an interesting experiment for Milton the scientist.

They've obviously figure out ways to lure the undead so finding something that could kill their zombie brain activity seems feasible. It probably wouldn't be your standard poison gas though.

Side note: Who the heck decided to name the nerdy guy Milton? Nerds don't all have to have nerd names people!
