Voices from the Stands - UNI ed.

anyone else think that the TC mascot was.. a little... off?

and by off i mean gay

We sit in EE and TC was in that area a lot, obviously. I couldn't agree more. He/She/It walked up to Cy and had a strange little hip movement. Now to cover myself and quote Seinfeld, "Not that there's anything wrong with it."

I'm probably going to feel like an idiot but.. what/who is TC?

After Jantz threw that 4th and 10 pass, I caught a Tshirt and immediately put it on. Next play, UNI scored, and I took that **** off. That was not a good tshirt. Ended up throwing it into the middle of the student section after we tied it up. I feel sorry for whoever caught it.

Also as I was walking out:
UNI/Hawk fan- "At least I can go to bed 100% confident that Iowa will come in here next weak and steamroll them. They're gonna win by 40"
Me-"What makes you say that? Iowa didn't play well at all today against Tenn Tech and you guys are way better than Tenn Tech"
UNI/Hawkfan: "It doesn't matter. They're gonna run all over you."
Me: "Well I don't doubt they will win, but Coker didn't have a good game at all. Can you name one actual reason Iowa will win by 40?"
UNI/Hawk fan: "We suck and you guys barely beat us you are going to lose by 40"

At that point I was pretty frustrated and told him that he was talking a lot of **** for having just lost and that we should exchange phone numbers and put down a $100 bet that ISU doesn't lose by 40 to Iowa. He then informed me that he didn't have $100 to bet (he was a college age kid like me) and proceed to walk away.

That landed right on the guy in front of me.

There was a guy with his girlfriend in the student section sitting a few rows in front of us. The girlfriend looked like she went to ISU. The boyfriend had a hawkeye sweatshirt on and was cheering for UNI. My group and the group in front of us gave him hell, but I always try to be creative instead of the standard, "#### the hawks"

My favorites were, why is your mom also your aunt? and 100% of Iowa fans suffer from erectile dysfunction. He glared at us and the girlfriend at one point asked us to stop. My thing is, why do you wear that crap when they aren't even playing each other??? STUPID.

He was asking for it and we gave it to him. What do you think would happen if you wore an ISU shirt into the Kinnick student section when they were playing someone else? I bet A LOT worse. If you can't handle it then either take it off or leave and they actually wound up leaving with him glaring and giving us the finger. Then we started playing well, so I blame our sub par performance on him.

Knowing who TC is, I think this is so damn funny. You guys couldn't be more right.

I was waiting for the "put in Tiller" comment but never heard it. I did here "put in the back-up". I also heard from and ISU fan "aw he's just faking it get up you *****" when Johnson went down with an injury.

I also heard the phrase "Put in Tiller!" after the first Jantz interception, in section C. I believe in this case it was said sarcastically. I took it that way at least and had a chuckle. I think that should become a catchphrase to use from now on, even after Tiller is gone, when a QB makes a boneheaded play. They could flash "Put in Tiller" on the videoboard and the crowd can chant along...

Ok, well, maybe that wouldn't be the greatest thing for the QB's confidence...

I tried to start "put in Barnett" after Jantz' first incompletion... as a joke.

Funny how many people didn't know Tiller can't play... Had to describe it to about three rows in the student section.

We were thinking it was a female who won the role of TC this year due to the mannerisms, but the other idea was considered as well. "Not that there's anything wrong with that".

Walked behind a group of drunk UNI kids talking **** to a group of drunk ISU guys after the game. Neither side was saying much of anything profound, but I thought it was funny that the ringleader of the UNI group was wearing a plain purple shirt and a Lakers hat.

It really isn't the 400-500 actual UNI fans that exist that are the problem. Many of them understand that we are in the same struggle for existence in the state of Iowa.

It is the complete and total ********* hawk fans that didn't want to live in a "big" city like ic, or they wanted to major in something specific that UNI offers, that makes them pretty much un****ingbearable.

I used to really get mad when I would see Iowa State fans act toward UNI the same exact way that we hate the hawk fans for. But I will tell you, after experiencing these **** head iowa panther fans, I gained a real dislike for these pieces of ****. Read panthernation, there are some really good UNI people there, even Mudra. He may be a bit extreme, but at least he is passionately loyal to UNI. I can respect that at least.

It's the pieces of **** like that twincities guy, and hawkeyenewsbreakerbred, and 9year (I have no idea how any good plan could take 9 years)and the rest of the iowa first morons, that really damage the genetics of their "fanbase."

They might even be worse than the blind porch sitting banjo players that come on here to defend the hawks. They do the same **** under the guise of "rooting" for UNI.

I have met some really good UNI people. They hate these "people" just as much as some of us do.

I was in the student section, and after UNI's false start near the end of the 4th qtr someone went HS volleyball with the cheers. "You can't do that!" sprung forth from section N upper deck. I thought it was great.

When the PA announcer said "Party of (enter ethnic name here) come to gate one for an emergency". Someone yelled up in section B, "it's a trick, don't go, it's INS"
