Urban Meyer gives Texas his answer...

The board I read last night many still didn't want to believe it. Some now think they can pull Kelly from ND. Some love Campbell, some hate him. Oh and one guy actually said we wanted to fire Campbell a couple years ago. These guys are another level of out there.

I've seen James Franklin's name in several articles. I've never liked the gut and he seems like a distant choice compared to Urban Meyer. Does a 1-5 record at Penn State get you the TX job??

On the other hand his ego would be a great fit for that fan base and program.

The odd thing to me is I've never been impressed all that much by UM as a studio analyst. There are lots of guys who are better.

Texas is about on the same level of delusion except with Texas having a shitload more talent and playing a much tougher schedule.

How weird would it have to be to be Tom Herman right now? Still technically having a job, and maybe continuing to have it, but knowing your employer is out playing the field?

It's like the "maybe we need to spend some time apart" of college football.

This would just be another day in the lifecycle of Tom Hermann. It wouldn’t feel weird to him because he bangs prostitutes and strippers, covers up domestic assault by his coaching buddies with the help of his “wife”, and probably has a decent sized handfull of kids across the country that don’t know who their dad is.

It is just another one of Herman's "open" relationships.

If I was Herman I would really want to get fired at this point, take the buyout and spend the rest of his career as an OC. Several OC/DCs make seven figures these days. Less pressure and he seems like a CPR type, decent head coach but a much better coordinator.

I don't know how Meyer could turn down 7 yr/$84 mil unless he still has health concerns.

If I was him and trying to get back at the administration, I would just purposely lose to KU to end the season.

If I were Herman's agent I would be dropping a nice extension/raise contract on AD desk this morning.

Texas arrogance kind has them over a barrel right now.

Head coaches just aren’t built that way, especially Herman. There is enough arrogance, narcissism, and sociopathy that it’s inconceivable for them to resign themselves to that fate.
