I don’t see a problem with standardizing how rules are conveyed to passengers so they’re easy to find.‘We’re paying twice for the same experience’: Plus-size travelers hit out at ‘discriminatory’ airline seat policies

This is dumbass advice tell her to absolutely not do this. It would help if we knew what exactly was the country but it really doesn't matter this is absolutely not the way to go. If she is staying at a decent chain hotel (ie not a hostel) there will be an ATM on site. The better option is bringing a CC with no foreign transaction fee and using that for the majority of the time sprinkled in with the smaller amounts of cash from the hotel ATM. And be very weary of off site ATM's that aren't attached to a bank branch.I am a little concerned about daughter. She is going on a trip to South America this summer. The latest information mentioned that there was no need to exchange money because everyone accepts US$ in said country, however ATMs are "few and far between" so they should take all the cash they will need for the entire trip. This is a safe country as South America goes and she already has a moneybelt, but I am more than a tad concerned about her carrying around relatively large sums.
Yeah, my sister actually retired to said country so I am going to be soliciting her for advice on the issue. This is dumbass advice tell her to absolutely not do this. There are tons of stories on the internet and I know that these are not made up. Money belt is your friend although it makes my waistline bigger than it is lolThis thread has been a good read. I’m off to Croatia, Rome, Paris this summer and the pick pocket screen in the latter two seem on point. And so, I’m planning accordingly.
I’ll be taking a neck worn money ‘belt’ and it will be under my shirt during all things, unless paying for something at that moment. Hoping that works well. There are tons of stories on the internet and I know that these are not made up. Money belt is your friend although it makes my waistline bigger than it is lol
My ex colleague’s hubby was traveling on a bus in Rome back in 2014 and he had his wallet in his pocket. He felt someone groped his pocket but saw the the woman standing next to him was wearing a sling so he ignored that feeling thinking that it must be a mistake. That happened twice. The third time he just felt weird and immediately reached for his pocket, finding out the wallet was gone. The woman was getting off the bus at the same time and he acted by instinct grabbing that woman, only to find out that it was a fake sling and arm……. Luckily he was able to get the money back.
Dad almost got pickpocketed in Rome when someone tried to distract us on the metro. Someone slipped into his pocket (Mom saw that) but luckily he was wearing money belt and there was nothing in his pocket.
We met several tourists and they shared that they knew several people in their cruise group who became victims of pickpocketing.

Stuff the cash in your undies, if they do take your cash, at least you get a quick handsy at the same time.I’ll be taking a neck worn money ‘belt’ and it will be under my shirt during all things, unless paying for something at that moment. Hoping that works well.
