More coaches should think of that.

"White knight" for her? I'm just correcting wildly inaccurate "facts".
And they should be chuckers.
Agree completely.
As good of a shooter as she is, you’d be a horrible coach to not give her the green light any time she is open from anywhere.
And it’s not like she doesn’t pass…. she dishes out a ton of assists and definitely makes others stat lines on her team better.
I don’t think she shoots too much, unless she’s just launching contested bad shots and missing most of them.
If I were her teammate, I would get upset when she whines and doesn’t get back on defense, or when she’s a total drama queen. But for the most part, being a teammate of hers wouldn’t be that bad.
It’s not close when she only won two national championships and Stewart won four with four MOP awards and a three time consensus national player of the year? Taurasi is in the argument too with Moore so it’s nowhere near not close. It's Maya Moore to me and it's not close. She went 125-3 in high school and 150-4 at UConn, including 90 in a row. 2 NCAA titles, 4 WNBA titles, 2 gold medals
If she had 34, was she fouled on a shot and didn’t make it? Missed shots that are fouls are not counted as shots in shot charts. So if so, she did put up over 35 shots. You gotta determine which shots were erased by free throws.Inaccurate maybe, but not ‘wildly’. WonderWoman has jacked up as many 34 in a game, and over 30 in five games or so. But the season’s not over. She has in in her to go for 35!
If she got fouled on a shot, the free throws are counted for the shot. Gotta figure out how many free throws were from fouled shots.People please try to be reasonable. I really don't like having to defend Clark, but some of this stuff is wild.
Your point was she has never taken 35 shots in a game, not her averages. She was damn close with 34 shots against MSU.Out of 27 games. And over 30 =/= 35.
She's taken 22 attempts or less in 16 games.
Wrong. The post I was responding to said CC took 35 shot attempts per game. I responded saying that she hasn't taken 35 fg attempts in a single game all year, much less every game, showing just how wrong that statement was. Yeah she came close shooting it 34 times in one game. But even still, 34 isn't 35 and it was one game. Lol.Your point was she has never taken 35 shots in a game, not her averages. She has been and will always be a volume shooter until a coach tells her it needs to stop. My bet, once she is in the WNBA, it will stop really quick.
Keith Murphy doesn’t countWrong. The post I was responding to said CC took 35 shot attempts per game. And yes, of course she's a volume shooter, I never said she wasn't. She's the best player in the country and the best college WBB of all time according to some. I would hope she's a volume shooter. I agree when she goes to the WNBA her elite passing skills are going to be what she's more known for.
Hey I was as surprised as anyone when Shaq called her the best WBB player ever.Keith Murphy doesn’t count
Edit: and when she goes to the WNBA, her elite turnover skills will also be what she’s known for
You’re really stuck on this defense thing. I’d love it if you could post any stats showing how bad it truly is? I’d even settle for an obscure twitter post of someone other than you criticizing her for “not getting back”.
Hey I was as surprised as anyone when Shaq called her the best WBB player ever.
When she's whining to officials anytime anyone touches her, or when she misses a shot, or turns it over... she is absolutely NOT getting back on defense. Do you ever watch any of her games?
And typical Hawk fan... after I heap praise on her... it's just never quite enough is it? Nope... you should just be praising her all the time and not questioning any aspects of her game. Bow down to the almighty CC everyone! She does no wrong!
I can honestly admit the aspects of Lipsey and Gilbert's game I don't care for... but don't ask any Iowa fan to give an honest opinion of CC.... and not only that.... NOBODY should be questioning any aspects of her game!
Bill did run something of a one woman show with Bridget and then Ashley - not to the degree of CC this year, however. But then he turned that on a dime when he got Stephanie. I really thought they had a formula that could result in a deep NCAA run. You could see that Ash was playing differently, well within the system. But then - nutcup.
Just imagine for a moment Ashley, Caitlin and a healthy Stephanie on last year's ISU team. That would have been something.
You must not have watched the last 2 years of the Ashley Joens team...
Ashley's usage percentage her senior year was 33.6% which was first in the Big 12. Caitlin's is higher, but let's not act like Bill wouldn't allow someone to completely dominate possession of the ball.
I just said Shaq thinks she's the GOAT.And you believe everything Shaq says? That tells me everything.
I can see it now.... an Iowa fan tells you that CC is the best women's basketball player ever! So you ask them how they know that? And they say... because Shaq said she was... duh!!![]()
and how she said the girls played hard defense and fought back. it was the girls this and the girls that , not the team, she sounded like the coachInteresting CC’s comments after the game. Very nice, sweet. All good comments about Indiana. But in between the lines, here is what she said. “They were physical with me. I should have been physical back, but didn’t.“
but she knew what he was likein the eustacy school of coaching
