AHA. WE HAVE FOUND COACH CHIZIK :biglaugh:I work in the athletic department, and have the joy of watching football everyday... (NO Im not Wayne Bolt :wink![]()
Played against Brett Meyer in a high school playoff game. We lost because Atlantic went for 2, he did a qb sneak, and scored.
I work for the Athletic Dept., have met most of the coaches at one time or another and some of the players. I have also been almost everywhere within the athletic facilities and I get into almost all the games for free.
What school did you play for in high school?
Do you get to enjoy them or just work them? One of the main reasons I have held back from working in sports is I enjoy watching them and everthing that goes with it (beer) too much.

I helped Dedric Willoughby become a better pool player at Tazzles. He had dead aim accuracy, but never knew where to hit it. I was always the complete opposite. I always knew where to hit it, but couldn't. So, I would point to the exact spot, and he'd hit it every time. Hung out many a night in there with him and Carlo Walton.
Also played at the dunk hoop in Granger against Jacy Holloway. The play of the day was when our team was on offense at the beginning of the first game. I was at the point and my brother had Jacy guarding him. But, my brother was acting like he was guarding Jacy down in the post. Jacy finally broke out to the 3-point line to receive the pass. I just looked at him as I fed the ball down to my brother, who dunked it home. The look on his face was priceless. I still rib him when I see him in KC at the Big XII Tourney about that...
Alum. Grew up on the dark side, then began to see the light as a junior in high school. As a student, I was on the Cyclone Alley Committee, interned in the Athletics Department, and worked for Rec Services. I don't know where to begin when it comes to stories.
I took ID's at a bar in Ames and denied access to Jamaal Tinsley because he had no ID on him.
