The Fran fade

I think Iowa will win easily tonight, Sparty is a bit overrated, has lost 4 or last 5 and have no real "guy." With the Garza jersey thing and the Barstool Bench Mob guys being in town, Carver might actually have some fans in it tonight. LOL.

74-66 Iowa.
EIU should playing at home vs a staggered MSU team with expectations of a win. ESPN has them as 6 pt favorites with a 76% prediction per BPI.

But if we've learned anything during the Mad Fran tenure February this when the Fran Fade starts.
Tick. Tock.

We'll see if the Ohio State win is based on Iowa trending in the right direction or a dead cat bounce from the Fran Fade.

Franisdaman on HR is brainwashed or something. He must wipe Frank and Luka's Garza's behind with his drool. Everyone is pleading to help sell out CHA. Even Garza. Students how arrive early get a free #55 T-shirt. Going to extremes to celebrate an NBA bench player, considering he was NPOY last season. Keep up the ballwashing and begging people to buy tickets Franisdaman!!

For the past couple of years, we keep hearing from Squawk fans the reason for poor attendance, and the morgue that they call home is the games start at 8:00 PM and it's hard to get back home and get up to work the next day if you live in Des Moines or have to drive.
But according to the link, they still have 1500 tickets for sell, day of the game vs. Michigan St. Students get a free Garza shirt if they show up early, and they still have trouble drawing fans, for a 6:00 PM start time.

Look, it's not the arena, the problem is you have an older fan base that neither cheer or attends the games, but they do purchase tickets, and a ton of students from Illinois that are EIU football fans, and Illinois basketball fans.

....and they are telling people to leave early for the games due to weather. Retirement home buses probably getting a good work out in IC tonight.

Do people feel like ISU is a lock at this point or do they need another W?

I think Iowa needs to win two more to be on the bubble and feel they might need three to be a lock.
Iowa needs to win tonight. I don’t see them winning at Michigan or Illinois so tonight is the last chance at a quality win till the Big 10 tournament. Wins against Nebraska and Northwestern won’t do a lot for you.

I still think if they beat Nebraska and NW, they are in.

Went to the Iowa vs Iowa State game a few years back and I legit saw a retirement home bus picking up its residents from the game.

So some may think whole "old people/retirement home" thing is a meme or joke, but I can confirm, it is not. LOLLL

Not sure why everyone is bent on Iowa cracking the top 25. What does it really matter?
It’s just the optics of it. Two teams with the same record but one team is .500 in the 3rd best conference and one team is 5-9 in the best conference. In the end both teams will make the tournament but the one with the “bad” optics will probably be higher seeded

Go thru MSU's sched. They've beaten one tourney team, and close to bubble at that (Indiana), in the last month. Last good win was exactly a month ago @ Sconnie.
But this is Michigan St we're talking about. This isn't your run of the mill team. Hell, extend that month out just a little and they lost to Northwestern at home. Yes, that Northwestern.
I tried telling you all...
