Connor off the bench. Jordan yes. You'll see a lot more JT, uhlis, perkins this year than previous. Even last year those were are 3 best defenders on the perimeter. That's not counting Keegan who's going to probably be Fran's best defender at Iowa when he's done

They weren't as good offensively so no they really didn't play a whole lot. Last year we had a lot of skilled players but lacked athletes and to some degree toughness. The bench last year actually consisted of our best athletes ( Murray, perkins, uhlis, and JT) this year those guys all player a bigger role. As a whole They aren't nearly as skilled or the shooters of last years team so many still expect this team to struggle

The best perimeter defender last year was Murray who played more as a 3 last year. Then Joe, perkins and then Weiskamp.

Superbowl factor is directly proportional to number of Iowa kids on the team. The team with more Iowa kids with chips on their shoulders will always outperform their standard. The question is whether we'll be able to win against their try-hard superbowl versions.

Big 10 opener at Purdue with league champ favorite might not be an easy game. Than Illinois and ISU. Not an easy week. At least assuming what we've seen so far shows ISU won't be as easy a mark as last year.
