Talent on a new level

If Wigginton keeps on playing like he has the last few games, is there a chance he will be a one and done? I hope not, but I wonder if Tyler Harris is thinking he might, and ISU is thinking he might, so then ISU would be a perfect landing spot for Harris?

Doubt Wiggy leaves prior to running the point for at least a season. Which isn't happening any sooner than his Junior year.

I what we are seeing from this team but we just were down 2 to the KenPom #248 team. Let's slow the roll here.

Yeah, and Wichita State was down 8 at the half to South Dakota State before winning by 10. ISU was rusty in the first half due to a 9 day layoff before winning by 14, pretty close to the -15 spread. They shook the rust off in the second half when their play was closer to where the team is right now. The team is steadily improving, especially the freshmen (Lard, Wigginton, Lewis) who all played their best games yet.

On a side note, it was the first game I attended and the players are much more cut than they appear on TV.

Look at this team next year though after everyone gets a year under their belt. They are going to be downright scary

NWB
Wiggington (expect him to come back)
Lard
Shayok (predicting BIG12 newcomer of the year)
Young
Lewis
Long
Talley
Jacobson
Horton Tucker- expect him to be a contributor next year
*impending grad transfer*

We're full right now -- 13/13.

Your list is ten long but forgets Haliburton, Griffin, and Conditt.

I would just speculate for a starting five about now...

Weiler-Bab
Wigginton
Shayok
Lard
Young

After that, and including that, the competition will be fierce.

Griffin and THT are going to be good enough to contribute immediately, too.

I agree with the starting 5 you listed and the group of THT, Jacobson, Lewis, Long, Griffin, and Talley (no certain order) will all be contenders for playing time off the bench. No knock on Haliburton or Conditt but I do not think they will contribute much as freshmen because they won't be physically ready. Conditt could be a serious red shirt candidate maybe? It will be interesting to see how Coach P manages things... we haven't seen a group with this much legitimate depth in a while.
